Let me be clear first that I do not care at all about what the Islamic and Hindu morons think about what I will write in the next paragraph. Let me also clarify that I do not have much respect for most of the 'moderate Muslims' and naive secular-flashing non-Muslims. I am a humanist, and care about human dignity, rights and respect for all kinds of people. (Sorry, I am not very respectful of anyone's religious stupidity, especially when that translates into injustice, hatred or barbarity.)
Now, as far as Babri mosque, the secular governments of India should have taken an honest stand and investigated if that mosque was built on a Hindu holy sites. If there were no historical evidence for a Hindu holy site, they should have evicted the Hindu fanatics from that site. If there were a historical evidence for a Hindu holy site, they should have evicted the mosque. Desecration/destruction by a mob was barbaric, and should not have been allowed under any circumstances.
