[mukto-mona] Jinnah did not want Partition: Ayesha Jalal

Too late to think about that scenario. Bottom line is that Jinnah was afraid of plural democracy and thought Muslims would be in disadvantage in a bigger and larger India. I find the article is full of contradictions. How could he not want a partition but fought vehemently for a Muslim land? His idea was to have Bengal and Punjub as two separate states and making India as rather a fragmented and weaker country? How can Jalal comes to that conclusion is beyond me.
