Some mistake greedy for achiever. It is only getting worse with media perpetuating the hype , that only finacialy well off are main contributor of the society; all others are lyching off their contributions. Never mind school teachers, scientists or philosophers of small means.
Once on the fringe of media, the sentional media took center stage, that let all hell loose, messed up psyche of growing mind. Some are appalled with this and took refuge in religion, where they sometimes fall prey to merchant of violence , who seems to promise peace and life away from greed, in life thereafter.
