[mukto-mona] Plan for 2020; Jesus and Holidays

Assalamu Alaikum:

More than 150 million Americans say they have professed faith in Jesus Christ, may God’s peace and blessings be upon him.

May all of our neighbors celebrating his birth this week have an enjoyable and safe holiday season with their families.

God sent all of the Prophets to help humanity establish justice, fairness, and equity. As this year ends, we need to reflect on what role we have played in this regard. Reflection on the last year is critical as we plan for the future.

We should keep this in mind as we enter 2020 at a time when our nation and our world is fractured and divided.

But to heal divisions, we need a clear vision, 20/20 vision (pun intended) of where we are at and what we need to do to get there. And for that, we must think, reflect, and plan for the future. This is why we have developed nine suggestions of things every Muslim must do in 2020.

May Allah make us like His Prophets, peacebuilders and bridgebuilders, who move humanity forward together with wisdom and compassion.

Peace,

Sound Vision

9 Things Every Muslim Must Do in 2020

With 2019 ending, it is critical that we evaluate this year and plan for 2020. Here are nine priorities

A guide to develop a personal Plan

Sound Vision has many resources for developing a personal plan. Here is an evaluation guide

Treating Christmas with respect

Women over 40 are recommended to have mammograms done every year. I was overdue by years, not months or weeks. And the fact that my maternal aunt had also been diagnosed with breast cancer in her 40s only added to my carelessness. I had run out of excuses.

10 Islamically-inspired things to do during winter break

Respect does not mean compromise. You have freedom of religion given by God to believe in what you choose. But in a world where conflict is increasing, a Muslim should be a bridge-builder and a peacemaker.

10 things Christians should know about Prophet Jesus and Muslims

Christians are sometimes surprised to discover that Muslims both love and revere Prophet Jesus, may God’s peace be upon him, as well as his mother Mary.

For just a dollar a day you can support Sound Vision.  Please help us continue to be able to bring these wonderful projects to you
