What you relate is absolutely shocking! What a bunch of shameless hypocrites the latest organizers are? Year before last I tried to tell them that I was in town and would like to participate especially with offerings of my translations of Shamsur Rahman and Nazrul songs. I never got a 'phone call. Things were not this bad when my dear friend Humayun Azad was around. The aura of his uncorruptible presence is hard to replace. I remember ten years ago -- how much I enjoyed being in the thick of Jaatiyo Kobita Utsab!
