[ALOCHONA] Re: Awami League- lawmaker beats up upazila chairman

Dear Alochok Shafiq

The point is not that nobody will 'defend' this violence. That argument works with people who will use the same argument when its their turn. You know - Bangladeshi type logic that is born in the gutter and enlightens only germs and bacteria - not people.

The point is nobody will 'protest' this violence. Least of all fellow party colleagues.

The day party members publicly complain about critical party failings is the day they learn that democracy is spelt with a D.

Until then, Bangladeshi national politics is the same as Bangladeshi organisational politics is the same as Bangladeshi village politics: a filthy mix of meaness of character, exploitation of weakness and worship of self interest.
