The law and order situation is indeed very bad. Parents are insisting on their children returning home earlier in the evening. There is also a story that there were 11 car jackings in Banani in a 3 week period!

The law and order situation cannot improve under this Home Minister. She is a good person but she is out of her depth. I don't see gangsters - or Chatra League/Dal chagols - bothered when she comes on tv to talk about law and order...

If this is the situation in our richest suburbs - amd remember that these areas are actually very small in size! - then God help the rest of the country!

A lot of poeple (including powerful politicians) say indoors that Bengalis cannot be managed without danda - but outdoors they like to talk about liberty, freedom, rights blah blah.

Sigh.
