I think it is an integral part of Bangladeshi nationalism to allow the Indian BSF to practice shooting at our BDR and innocent citizens. This way BSF soldiers get some real experience before transferring to India's western border to fight a country that knows how to stick up for itself.
After all, using this strategy, we can be assured of India's help if Pakistan should ever dare to attack us again.
The 1970s were not that long ago. You can get a flavour at least of 1971, on some issues based on what you see now in 2010. And nothing that I see in 2010 reflects well on 1971.
Least of all a propensity to call India "Daddy".
