Bangladesh will never prosper or rise as a nation of integrity unless and until the existing political party based democracy is dropped and expert council based democracy is adopted as I suggested in my paper "Good Governance in Bangladesh: A Quest for a non-Political Party Approach" - http://www.ccsenet.org/journal/index.php/jpl/article/view/4584 . I do not know anything about the background of Mr. Mahmudur Rahman, but fully disagree when he says that the situation was better during the past government rule. The government was in deep crime and corruption during that time and I almost left the country out of disgust. But decided to stay on when the care taker government took over. People may have forgotten already (which they normally do) that the socio-economic condition improved a lot during the CTG. However, some corruption did take place under them as well. But the criminals suffered from that corruption and not the common people. As a result, the expected justice against crime and corruption did not materialize. --- On Mon, 5/17/10, Isha Khan <bdmailer@gmail.com> wrote:
