Fwd: [ALOCHONA] Fwd: Mental patients on rise for extra marital affairs, say experts

-High female employment at the garments industries in urban
areas in the name of women empowerment

Actually state of business and economy pushed most of these women to work. Most of them have no choice but work. We have been unable to give them any other/Islamic "Halal" living. It will be hard to find any garment factory owner who has seperate but equal facilities provided for women in the factory premises. Islam is not against women working (Sometime it is the only "Halal" choice left!) but Islam encourages us to provide dignified facilities for our mothers and sisters. On the other hand, I do not think there are too many people who gives a damn about "Women empowerment" in Bangladesh. Albeit we have enough women holding top positions in this country. Actually state of women in BD is not improving. Those who are working are taking huge risk to make a living.

I have to say the same about "Apartment buildings". We do not have enough land in this country to provide "Bunglow" houses for each families. We are not going to have any firmland left if we want to do that.

Disappearance between educated and uneducated groups are not such a bad thing if that was related to life style or quality of life. But I think you are talking about uneducated people are in a position to influence and formulate policies in this country like never before. That is a serious concern.

To be fair to the topic, I feel we do not have good leadership in so called "Islamic parties" either. Sometimes they act like any other political parties and tries to do anything to get closer to almighty "Power". Last time I checked, that is NOT part of Islamic teaching. ;-)

Peace.

"...The major change in family and social life, contempt for social and religious norms, non-dependency and extreme self-reliance between couples,
lack of sharing of family matters, and hidden mental disorder are among other causes of extra marital affairs, the director added. .."

Note: Our present government is promoting "secularism" with their heart and soul. The above news is an acknowledgment to the growing problem that our society is facing today due to:

-Indian cable TV soap operas
-English medium Western style co-education schooling
-Co-education at the private and public universities
-Non-practice of Islam at home and at the individual level
-High female employment at the garments industries in urban
areas in the name of women empowerment

-Changed life-style living in apartment buildings with
unknown people and unfriendly families around
-Disappearance of the fine line between the educated and
uneducated groups
-Etc. etc, etc.

That is why I had to write the article "Rise of social ills in absence of Islam" now available at http://www.bangladesh-web.com/view.php?hidRecord=318635
