[ALOCHONA] Bangladesh Fooled By Indian Tansit Deal--Says who?

I had asked before "Why should BD be collecting Tariffs or any Taxes on Goods in transit to India and not for sale in BD?".
Nobody answered and now these gentlemen keep repeating the same B.S. like Parrots, who can not hear me.
.
FACTS:
Please tell me if you have any brain, ...
.
* Was Pakistan collecting any Tariffs or other Taxes on Imports or Exports of Afghanistan?
* Is Iran doing the same with Central Asian Countries and Russia?
* Does Turkey collect any Tariff on Oil that Iraqi Pipe Line sells from one of her ports in Mediterranean Sea in the middle-south of Turkey?
* Does every country that Russian Natural Gas Pipe Line passes through in Europe charges Tariff on that Gas? (Only Scandinavian Countries do not get Russian Gas).
* Are Afghanistan and Pakistan going to charge Tariff on Natural Gas going through the Pipe Line transiting through from Iran or Turkmenistan to India and then eventually to B.D.?
.
Spending EXAMPLES:

1. Actually Iran spent her own money to build Highway from her port of Bander Abbas to Ashkabad, Turkmanistan.
2. To get Russia, Azerbaijan etc transit trade, Iran spent her own money linking Bander Abbas with a Railway Line going through whole southeast to northwest length of Iran to Russian Railway System in Azerbaijan.
3. Turkey actually built that Pipe Line decades ago to import Iraqi Oil for herself and to let Iraq sell it from her port.
4. Crazy Pres. Reagan had told the world that no country should help USSR build Gas Pipe Line to Europe but even US Companies had refused to listen to him and whole Europe started getting Russian Gas by mid 1980's.
.
Can we talk some sense instead of keep repeating, what ISI has been propagating through its Agents on Bangla Forums?

I am sorry I did not know that Mr. Robin only write to alochona to win a Noble prize or some kind of recognition from the ruling elite of BD or am I being cynical like Mr. Robin? Some of us mere mortals only express their opinions and there are a lot of Bangladeshies at home and abroad would agree with our views.

> Mr. Robin should highlight the good points about the transit deal. Please share this with the rest of us. You have to excuse my intelligenece but I can not see how the transit deal would be a good deal for BD.

And ofcourse you two wonderful Gents are the very embodiment of patriotism, love of country, the milk of human kindness. Frankly I am astounded that both of you have not been bronzed yet as national heroes. I must tell my traitorous sycophantic oppurtunistic friends what a wonderful oppurtunistic they are missing. The contract for your statues is worth millions. Just imagine.......> > > > > >

From: Emanur Rahman emanur@

t; We do not have a Bangladeshi administration. Therein lies the problem. We have traitors in power. All the evidence suggests the same. Its not even about party interests. I dare say many AL supporters and party members also recognise this but choose not to speak up because they are either traitors, opportunists, sycophants or just plain stupid. > > Emanur Rahman | m. +447734567561 | e. emanur@ > > ----------------------------------------------------------> > From: Wazed Khondkar wkkhondkar@ > Sender:

ear Alochoks,> > This is another interesting news about the transit route for India. So, India will save 70% of transport cost at the expense of Bangladesh. This means India will be able to export their goods at a much cheaper cost and be more competitive. So what will happened to industries in Bangladesh? > > What has India done so far for Bangladesh? What has happened to trade imbalance between Bangladesh and India? Why cannot Bangladesh sale its goods and services to India without any entry barriers?> > Certain groups of people with vested interest trying to hood wink the population of Bangladesh into thinking that a transit route for India is good for Bangladesh. This is indeed very bad news for Bangladesh. India can look after its interest but who is looking after Bangladesh's interest. Certainly not our politicians.> > This issue has such a national importance that it should be put forward to the public in a referendum â€" let the people of Bangladesh decide whether it is good for them or not. This issue should not be decided by Mujib's daughter or Dictator's wife and sons but by the people of Bangladesh.> > I see some analogy between this issue and the European single currency - UK did not join the single currency the Euro. Had UK joined the single currency (which is dominated by Germany) it would have been a complete disaster for UK economy. > > Politicians in the UK put their national interest first whereas politicians in Bangladesh put their parties interest first.> > Salam>
