Forwarding to you Khaleda's following call upon all patriotic forces for resistance to corridor and Tipaimukh, as published in the News from Bangladesh and UNB/The BD Today. Indeed, it is a call to resist Indian hegemony. It is a right call. All patriots should either respond positively or issue their own call toward the same objective. It is time for all patriots to wake up, stand up and unite irrespective of party affiliations and political spectrum. It is time to organise resistance with determination and dedication. It is time to defend our beloved country and resolutely safeguard our independence and sovereignty. We are a valiant people. We know how to organise and resist politically.

We must also learn from history. We must learn from Kashmir, Seven Sisters States, Sikkim, Bhutan, Hyderabad, Junagarh, Manvadar, Goa, Daman, Diu, etc. India's most brutal repressions and massacres in many of these states are well-known. We would resist India's attempt to reduce us to a vassal state of India, whatever India's allies are. All the forces struggling against a common enemy can cooperate without interfering in each others internal affairs. Sri Lanka defeated India's 25 year proxy war by forging regional alliance with China, Pakistan and Iran. We also need to develop regional alliance with China, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia etc. in order to offset Indian hegemony.

With the help of our allies, we need to demand from India compensation for Farakka, Teesta, border killings, BDR massacre, etc. and to demand resolutions of all outstanding problems with India. India must stop conspiracies and vicious propaganda against Bangladesh. India must stop incursions within our territory and occupying our territory. We must demand investigations on why and how nearly all the huge quantities of grenades, explosives and equipment for terrorist bombings in Bangladesh were brought in from India and why many operatives had India link? We must ask, was RAW sleeping or cooperating with the terrorists?

We must ask about the Indian terrorist training camps near the borders of Bangladesh, their sole purpose being to conduct terrorism within Bangladesh. We must ask, why did India train and equip Shanti Bahini in CHT with the objective of dismembering CHT from Bangladesh? We must ask about Banga Bhumi movement and the plots of terrorist attacks, we must ask about why India nurture the criminals of Bangladesh, etc., etc. and etc. Finally, we should ask them, why they cannot be good neighbours, which would solve all the problems??

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia Thursday called upon all patriotic forces to resist the 'government move to make the country vulnerable' by providing corridor to India and allowing construction of Tipaimukh Dam on the common river.(UNB)

She was talking to leaders of like minded parties who met with her at her Gulshan office at about 8pm. They exchanged views on the socio-economic situation, anti-national moves of the government and its failures to meet the aspirations of the people and repression on political opponents.

Leaders of JAGPA, NPP, NDP, Muslim League, NAP, NAP (Bhasani) and Labour Party were in the discussions.

The meeting over JAGPA president Shafiul Alam Prodhan told UNB that they extended all out support to the ongoing anti-government movement led by Khaleda Zia.

Regarding expansion of the BNP-led four-party alliance, Prodhan said the BNP chairperson indicated that the expansion of the alliance will be reflected on the way of current movement. Begum Zia would expand the alliance at an appropriate time
