Indian BSF kills 59 Bangladeshis in 11 months These incidents indicate that there has been no let up in the killing spree of Bangladeshis on the border by BSF despite a call by Human Rights Watch upon the Indian government to take action  The reckless killings of Bangladeshi citizens by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) is continuing unabated despite protest from home and abroad.In the latest incident BSF shot dead a Bangladeshi cattle trader at Putkhali border in Benapole in the early hours of Sunday taking the total of such killings to 59 since January last.(The BD Today) According to UNB, A Kader, in-charge of BDR Putkhali camp, said that BSF jawans of Jhaudanga camp fired several shots when a group of cattle traders along with cattle were returning home. In the firing Shafiar Rahman, 35, resident of Kagojpuker village was killed. The Indian border guards later dragged away the body into their land. Earlier, a Bangladeshi cattle trader was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Uttar Gomnathi border in Domar upazila on Friday morning.The victim was identified as Abdur Rashid, 32, resident of Purba Satnai village of Dimla upazila. It may be pointed out that according to news agency report, some 875 Bangladeshi nationals were shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Bangladesh-India border from January 2000 to August 31 this year.
