Re: [ALOCHONA] Abed, Yunus among world's top 100

How interesting, neither of our lady leaders made it into the list.

So you BAL sycophants - SIR Abed, how does that play with your mistress? Hasina has not received an MBE let alone a knighthood from the Queen. In fact, has she even had an audience other than to interview for a cleaning job?

So, is BRAC next? Is SIR Abed next? Must be!

Hasina has collected many honorary doctorates and awards - they're nearly all pointless, lack prestige and largely not sought after by anyone else.

SIR Abed has a knighthood though. That puts him way beyond Hasina or Khaleda on the international stage. He is (like Yunus) a great ambassador for this country unlike the BAL witch. That she has no knighthood or peace prize shows this.

So Hasina v SIR Abed? Yeah, I (and the whole international community) pick SIR Abed's achievements any day of the week.

So BAL sycophants - how do you feel now?

Abed, Yunus among world's top 100

Two renowned Bangladeshis have been included in a list of 'Top 100
Individuals' who have committed themselves to improve the lives of
girls and women around the world.

Founder of Grameen Bank and Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus and Sir
Fazle Hasan Abed, founder and chairperson of Brac, were included in
the list prepared by US-based global advocacy organisation Women
Deliver, said a press release.

The list of hundred individuals, the 'intrepid and results driven
people', was released to mark the 100th International Women's Day, it
said.

The honorees are derived from the fields of health, human rights,
politics, economics, education, journalism, and philanthropy, and
represent a great diversity of geographic and cultural backgrounds.

The list includes, among others from six continents, Nobel laureate
Economist Prof Amartya Sen (India), Co-chair of Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation Melinda Gates (USA), US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
(USA), UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon (South Korea), Queen Rania
Al-Abdullah (Jordan), Nobel Laureate Human Rights activist Shirin
Ebadi (Iran) and journalist Christian Amanpour (UK), the release
added.
