Dear Dr. Javed,
I appreciate very much your intellectual contributions to Islam at a very high academic level. But I have not properly understood some points and want to know your explanations. If Neutrons or some other particles have more speed than Light and if it disproves Einsteinism, in both the cases, what it has to do with Islam? Why you call one Islamic and the other Un-Islamic? Both the ideas, we can accept that maybe God made it in the way as either of the theory which stands test of time scientifically. Both the theories can be Islamic, depending upon whichever theory is scientifically true. Whatever new scientific developments, we can accept them as God may have made things the way new science discoveries are claiming. These matters about the creation and working of Universe are not like Darwin’s theory which is clearly against Islamic and even Christian concepts.
Secondly, why you have to deny or find fault with different interpretations of Big-Bang. Every interpretation can be Islamic. God may have made things according to any of those interpretations. Whatever is scientifically proved true, we can call that Almighty’s Wisdom and Power is the Source of all that is scientifically true today, or are found true after a few centuries later. In such matters, if a new theory of Universe takes over the present theory of Big-Bang or something else, we can say that our understanding of past theories about God’s working might have been wrong in the past. In both the cases, we can prove the existence of God, His Power and His Wisdom. There is no need of taking sides with one as Islamic and the other one as Un-Islamic.
Thirdly, we have to accept singularity or something as the beginning of Creation. Even if your assumption is correct that there was something or some Mass was already existing from which Singularity has emerged and then from Singularity Universe has emerged, the question is that whatever that was existing as a Mass before Singularity, that was also a creation of Allah, as the sudden appearance of singularity in Big-Bang theory was also a Creation of Allah. Basic thing is that If we accept Allah as a Creator, it means before He created some mass or singularity, we have to admit that there was a period when there was nothing until Allah Created some Mass or Singularity or whatever Science will discover in future. There is no use for us to take sides as one is Islamic and the other one is un-Islamic. As we accept Allah as Creator, we have to assume there was nothing existing until He created something. That is the idea in Big-Bang theory that suddenly a process of Universe creation started with the Big-Bang, whatever may be its details of unfolding from a singularity. Sudden appearance of something from non-existence to Existence is the real meaning of Creation. Without the concept of something appearing suddenly, there is no meaning of Creation. That is the main idea of Big-Bang.
Your opposition of this idea is equivalent to deny the Power of Creation of Allah. All Islamic scholars of today, like Dr. Zaghlol of Egypt, Dr. Zakir Naik of India, Dr. Hasnain of Ashrafia school of thought, ……?.of Turkey, Dr. Tahir-ul Quadri of Pakistan have all accepted it based on Verse 30 of Surah Anbia in which Allah says that heavens and earth were mixed together as one unit mass and We have separated them.
Moreover, your opposition or finding fault with the concept of expanding Universe is equivalent to criticizing and finding fault with, Nauuzu-Billah, Allah’s clear injunction that the Universe is expanding. In the same verse of Surah Anbia (30) and another one in Surah Zariat (59-47). It will be too lengthy, if I explain in detail how these 2 Verses endorse 1929 discovery of Hubble that the Universe is constantly expanding. In above Surah Anbia Verse, where Allah has said that He has STOPPED THE PROCESS OF SEPARATING HEAVENS AND THE EARTH? IF ALLAH IS STILL SEPARATING THEM, IT MEANS HE IS EXPANDING UNIVERSE TODAY AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO TILL THE LAST DAY. ALLAH HAS NEVER SAID THAT AFTER ONCE SEPARATING THE EARTH FROM HEAVENS, HE HAS STOPPED THAT PROCESS OF SEPARATION OF HEAVENS (i. e, UNIVERSE). Secondly in Verse 59-47 INNA LAMUSEUON means (giving wasaa or making Wasee, which in Urdu means wide) that WE ARE STILL WIDENING i.e. STILL EXPANDING (the Heavens or Universe).
Please quote all those Quranic verses or Ahadith, on the basis of which you call something Islamic or Un-Islamic regarding modern scientific controversies or theories about the creation of Universe, not concerned with Darwin’s Evolution theory, to let everyone like me to know and judge as to how far your interpretation of those Islamic injunctions is correct or not.
Looking forward to your clarification of all the points raised by me above,
I highly appreciate your efforts to explain Islam with latest modern knowledge, which is also my aim in my explanations of Quran CDs.

Shukrun wa Jazakallah for your valuable comments. Your assumption seems to be quite correct. In this universe exist a lot of objects that travel much faster than the light.
In Surah "Al- Namal" the person in the court yard of Solomon (AS) brought the throne of Saba in twinkling of an eye from a distance of about 1 000 miles from Sana' That is not the Scientific Ilm but "ILM-E-LADUNNI" . Only a Muslim can get it when he becomes the "Abd" [slave] of Allah (SWT)
Converting the matter into waves has successfully been done in the laboratories in the USA but they could not succeed so for to transformation of waves into matter again. They are trying.
A Muslim scientist with his maturity of knowledge in physical or any other science when coincides his thinking process with the will of his supreme Lord, he will get the secrets of this cosmos within his reach and that will be possible only when the ethical system of this world moves in complete harmony with the strict ethical system prevailing in this universe which is directly controlled by our Lord. It means when the "Taqwah" of this universe coincides with the "Taqwah" of Human society on this earth.
In fact, Allah created two formats of system for His cosmos: One to control the physical world. That is fixed and unchangeable except with the will of Allah. The other is moral system which governs the human life on earth as man is given some authority to use the bounties of this world as His vicegerent to satisfy his urges as per his or her freewill and for which he/she is accountable to his/her Lord on the Day of Judgment. There is no exception to it.
So, when both these systems coincide and proceed in harmony to each other. it will result in a communion and then there will be total peace and harmony in the entire universe. Only then justice will prevails in the human abode.
That will be possible only when the Deen of Allah is completely established in this earth through the human efforts of Muslims and Muslimah. AND THAT WE HAVE TO DO. IT IS INCUMBENT UPON EACH OF US.
That will be the stage when the forces of nature will come under the command of man. That was the time when Omar (RA) directed from his pulpit in Madinah to the Muslim army fighting in Qadsia in Iran" Sa'reoo Ila al-Jabal" [Rush to the mountain'] Muslims heard this command in the battlefield loud and clear. They obeyed and won the battle as Mountain came at their back. They rearranged and defeated the enemy.
This job of establishing Allah's Deen in this world is our responsibility and we have to do it with the sacrifice of our Life, time, talents and wealth. Let us prepare Ummah to live and die for it to earn Jannah - the only way left for us..
Let us commit ourselves to fill this earth with JUSTICE all around.

Dear Mr. Javed,
I heard that news last week and a little flash back reminded me that a few years ago, a physicist mentioned that it is a possibility. There was a mathematician, back home, who had carved theory of relativity on his main gate.
Light or its speed has no meanings for me in terms of materialism or idolism. To me, light is light and its speed is (was) the fastest. However, the theory of relativity is not correctly understood by me or others, as it does not declare the speed of light as god or barrier or something supreme. According to Einstein, energy can be created when mass can travel at the speed of light times.
And that is why is it is written as E=mc2. That means, speed of light has to be defeated by its square, 8.98755179 × 1016 and it is only defeated by 60 nanoseconds, yet.
If Einstein called it a "Cosmic Constant" then why he used double of its speed in his equation????
From alQuraan, I have learnt that there is a science that can transfer material before the blink of an eye. And that proves the theory of relativity WRONG. Once mass is converted into energy then it can only change from one form into the other.
If this law of Physics is also wrong then how energy can be converted back into Mass??? How energy can be divided by doubled speed of light???
As ALLAH Kareem will destroy EVERYTHING, so both Energy and Mass will be destroyed and I doubt if anyone else can do that. I also believe that 'Ruh' travels faster than light.

Let us prepare, introduce and work hard a NEW WORLD ORDER based on the universal concept of Tawheed. Amanah, Akhirah and Prophethood of Rasulullah (S) to the confused and bewildered human society and its abode for giving it a new lease of life. Einsteiniumism: Time to Abandon this Physico-ReligionLight Speed Barrier a great impediment in the understanding of the Universe By Dr Javed Jameel The reports regarding the experiments that showed neutrinos achieving a higher speed than that of the light have hit the international headlines. I have been arguing for more than 15 years that the light-speed barrier is the greatest blunder ever of the modern pgysics. Light cannot be allowed to adorn divinity, which turns its small speed into an infinite one for all practical purposes. Light-speed barrier is an artificial barrier erected by Einstein’s mind. Physicists have unfortunately turned this barrier into a wall that cannot be scaled. This is despite the accumulating evidences at the microscopic as well as the macroscopic level pointing to the brittle nature of the foundation of this wall. To talk of light-speed as the fastest possible speed is as to talk in the tenth century of the speed of the horse being the fastest achievable speed in the world. Einstein cannot be allowed to don the role of Final Prophet whose Word cannot be challenged or changed.
In my book, “Rediscovering the Universe” and several papers publisged in online American journals known for presenting alternative viewpoints (Nature and Science, American Journal of Sciense Academia Arena) I have argued that light speed barrier has become the biggest impediment in understanding the universe. The universe appears from all the plausible evidences to be a well-knot state like organisation, which cannot run without extremely fast and effective means of communication. No state and no organisation can work without an effective communication. And if Einstein’s light speed barrier is accepted, it means that the universe is surviving and functioning without any effective means of communication. I have also raised questions regarding how laws of nature did originate and how they are being enforced. I have also been able to show that Big Bang theory is in truth not a theory of creation at all. It only describes how an already existing massive energy-mass contained within a point of singularity of infinitely small size started getting redistributed due to sudden onset of its expansion. . It was mainly Einstein’s ideas and his equations that compelled physicists to think of the universe beginning at a point where all the present laws break down. It is ironical to believe that present laws were derived from a situation where these laws had no tangible or perceptible existence. The history of modern Physics is witness to how Einstein used his idea of light-speed barrier to bulldoze almost every other theory; how he constructed theories and formulas to adjust almost every mechanism to its demands. One mistake of light-speed barrier led to hundreds of errors being accepted by the community of Physicists. This is another matter that Einstein and the posterity of physicists did so considering that the falsehood of light-speed barrier was the truth that has to be accepted at all costs. To quote a small example, warping effect can hardly explain the gravity at a large scale, unless Einstein’s light-speed barrier is given up. Further, despite the fact that nonlocality is now regarded as consistent with quantum mechanics, Einstein’s influence on physics is such that the fundamental idea of the light-speed barrier has not been dropped.
The universe viewed in the light of General Theory of Relativity and Big Bang Cosmology is a passive, clumsily stark looking collection of individual groups of matter. Quantum Mechanics makes it even more shambolic by shrouding it in the dark clouds of uncertainties. The universe itself appears to have hardly any dynamic existence. It seems to be a universe, which was in a highly excited state at the time of Big Bang, but has since then lost its virility; it has willy-nilly bequeathed all its properties to the material that it contains without retaining anything for itself. The sphere of the universe itself continues to expand without anything adding to it except an increasing emptiness in space. It is becoming increasingly hollower with the ticking of the clock; its hollowness is making the components of the world strangers to one another with every passing moment of time, because galaxies are falling apart from one another. The distance between all the parts of the universe is growing but the vehicle of communication available to them is limping with the same old velocity. The space is continuously growing, and growing fast; where it is coming from, nobody knows. The expansion of the universe is not expanding its wealth, resources and means; the communication is getting harder, the overall density is declining and the matter is huddling into ghettos. God has either been banished to a place from where He cannot regulate or control it, or has been converted into a nominal Head of a defunct State soon after the first tiny fraction of the second of the beginning of the creation. Even if He is there, He cannot play any discernible role. There are many, of course, who are not ready to assign anything or any role to God, in the past, present or future, declaring Him to be the creation rather than the creator of the creatures.
Einstein manufactured his ideas about light-constancy and tried to fit everything into it. In doing so, he consciously or unconsciously tried to turn the minibus of light-speed barrier into an omnibus that would absorb the whole universe. Even from an empirical point of view, this is extremely difficult to believe that a small speed like that of light can be of any help in understanding the functioning of the universe. The universe is so vast that in its backdrop, the light-speed is nothing but mere crawl. To keep the universe functioning the way it is functioning, much speedier ways of communication would be needed.
It is also interesting to note that Einstein’s First Postulate says that physical laws in all the co-ordinate systems are the same. This postulate in itself is the cause of contradiction for the postulate of light-speed constancy, as how so vastly distant co-ordinate systems can regularly communicate to know about these laws and keep following them without fail. It can be argued that these laws are the same because they all had their origin in the Big Bang. But soon after the Big Bang they got separated by huge distances, making most of them unable to communicate with one another. Why then do the same laws prevail everywhere in the universe? We know from our daily experiences that the enforcement of law requires a constant vigil in the whole land. What then, makes the matter so obedient all over the universe?
The chief foundations of the modern Physics comprise the two mutually contradicting theories of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. One argues that there can be no communication faster than that of light, the other vehemently challenges it by apparently enabling particles to communicate at much higher velocity. Nevertheless, Einsteinanism rules. This is despite the fact that Einstein himself accepted that light constancy was logically difficult to explain but empirically proved by experiments. Ironically, in his development of the special and general theories, he depended on empirical facts, but did not accept the same logic in Quantum mechanics, where he insisted on refuting the experimental results on the basis of his idealism, founded on the empirical constancy of light. The question here is: can anything empirical be illogical? Whatever we observe as the results of experiments has to be based on certain laws, and even if our experiments or we differ from what is actual or real there has to be a basis of this difference. There was nothing diabolical with the empirical “constancy” of light-speed. The absurdity is the unexceptionable fascination Einstein developed for light, turning constancy into an absolute dogma that gives light a sheet anchor role. Taking a clue from Scriptures perhaps that often describe God as “Light”, he too started believing light as divine. This resulted in his giving a kind of absoluteness to light that was only a prerogative of God. He had developed an unshakeable belief in his heart and mind that nothing can surpass light in attributes. This was evident in his total approach in the development of the infrastructure of physics. He made the light-speed constancy as the foundation stone of the edifice he wanted to construct. This, not his idea of cosmological constant described by him as “my greatest blunder”, was in truth his greatest folly. There is no logical reason why a small speed like that of light—small in the backdrop of the gigantic universe—can be accepted as the maximum. It was perhaps his belief in the absoluteness of light that he devised a formula for gamma that had the stamp of divinity for light. It made impossible for anything to travel faster than the electromagnetic wave-particle. It positioned light as the Final Criterion relative to which all speeds would be measured and all the properties of the matter would change. This is also perhaps the reason that he used c2, instead of a numerical constant, in his famous mass-energy equation. Does that not mean that he might have believed everything was created ultimately of light? And as nothing has so far been proved beyond to travel faster than light, no physicist has dared challenge his ideas. The increasing likelihood of the nonlocality of quantum mechanics, the apparent faster than light speeds of quasars, the faster than light initial expansion of the universe—all these evidences have faded before Einstein’s thunderous claim. Physicists have simply prostrated before the idol of Einstein.
