Re: [mukto-mona] FW: Steve Jobs an American Visionary with Arab Roots

Steve Jobs, the genius.

At first his mother wanted to abort him, and then changed her mind to put him up for adoption. So much to learn from the life of this genius visionary!

A strange man of rare genius. Neglected, abandoned, sidelined, and ignored. Fathered by a Syrian Moslem and born to an American mother, he never responded to a call from his biological father who had abandoned him when he was a newborn baby. In his early years he used to collect cans to earn money, slept on the floor of his friends' apartment, and walked seven miles to Hare Krishna Temple to have a "good" meal. Liked beatles. Took drugs. Went to India to embrace Buddhism. Being a moneyed man he neglected his own health and died. Within himself he captured the main theme of Buddhism which has been expressed in his speech.

Sarat Chandra "violated" the norm of writing a good novelia by making an appeal to the readers of his Debdas for shedding a few drops of tears. Many people will probably shed tears for him.

It is a touching story!  I feel sad that Steve's biological father did not get to meet him in person, but still, Steve's loyalty towards his adoptive parents is to be admired.
