The Saudi Ambassador also mentioned there was an effort to ask for forgiveness from the victim's Egyptian family (Money was offered) but they asked for punishment and Saudi government cannot intervene in such cases. He also confirmed the case lasted many years to determine actual criminals.
As a Bangladeshi I would be very happy if those people were forgiven. It hard enough for the families to leave without loved ones and now it is harder to live without the income as well. I do not know if our ministries have any find to aid such families (They did not commit any crime!). I hope the families will get some help. Can we go beyond cheap words this time? I have my doubts. I'll happy if I am proven wrong.

Our cable TVs broadcasted the statement. The Saudi said a lot more than that and explained the logic behind it. Also said he was very sad for lost lives as well. This is a painful event but no need to go for cheap, populist lines.
