Mr. Mohiuddin, you are so naive about the history of Bangladesh, I wonder where you from or where you been all these years!
During Bangabandhu's time, house, gambling, hard drinks, horse race (which was part of Islamic culture of Pakistan) was totally banned.
Princes Lucky Khan style Jatra was introduced by Zia in the name of Shilpo Mela. Zia also opened all closed drinking bar and gave plenty of new license to set-up new hard liqueur store and bar in every corner of Bangladesh. Surely he will do so as we all know he himself was a heavy drinker.

I regret my earlier comment about Amini. I have no authority to call any one kafir. However I stand with rest of my opinion. Amini is not alem for sure. He is a misguided soul who do not follow the path of Allah or his Rasul. স্টাফ রিপোর্টারইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের একটি অনুষ্ঠানে 'রাসুল (সা.) হিন্দুদের জন্য মসজিদের অর্ধেক জায়গা ছেড়ে দিয়েছিলেন' মর্মে ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যে তীব্র নিন্দা ও প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছে বিভিন্ন ইসলামী সংগঠন। পৃথক বিবৃতিতে তারা ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রী মো. শাহজাহান এবং ইফা ডিজিকে অবিলম্বে অপসারণ দাবি করেন। অন্যথায় কঠোর কর্মসূচি এমনকি হরতাল ডাকারও হুমকি দিয়েছেন অনেকে। এ বক্তব্যের প্রতিবাদে আজ রাজধানীতে বিক্ষোভের ডাক দিয়েছে ইসলামী ও সমমনা ১২ দল। এছাড়া কওমী মাদরাসা বোর্ডের পক্ষ থেকে ১৫ ডিসেম্বর সারাদেশে প্রতিবাদ মিছিল কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে।
ইসলামী ঐক্যজোটের চেয়ারম্যান মুফতি ফজলুল হক আমিনী দলের মজলিসে শূরার জরুরি বৈঠকে বলেন, বর্তমান সরকার ইসলামকে ধ্বংস করার জন্য ক্ষমতায় বসেছে। আর এ কাজে নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছে দেশের একমাত্র সরকারি ধর্মীয় প্রতিষ্ঠান ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন। তিনি বলেন, রাসুল (সা.) হিন্দুদের জন্য মসজিদের অর্ধেক ছেড়ে দিয়েছিলেন। তিনি ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতাবাদের প্রচারক ছিলেন—এসব বক্তব্য সম্পূূর্ণ মিথ্যা, ভিত্তিহীন, ইসলাম ও কোরআনের বিকৃতি, রাসুলুল্লাহর (সা.) চূড়ান্ত অবমাননা। ইফা ডিজি, ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রী ও আইন প্রতিমন্ত্রীকে অবিলম্বে অপসারণ না করলে আমরা আন্দোলনের কঠিন কর্মসূচি দিতে বাধ্য হব। প্রয়োজনে হরতাল ডাকা হবে।
ইসলামী ও সমমনা ১২ দলের পক্ষ থেকে মাওলানা মুহিউদ্দিন খান, মাওলানা মোহাম্মদ ইসহাকসহ নেতারা এক বিবৃতিতে বলেন, ধর্মমন্ত্রী ও আইনমন্ত্রীকে প্রকাশ্যে জাতির কাছে তাদের ক্ষমা চাইতে হবে এবং অবিলম্বে তাদের মন্ত্রিপরিষদ থেকে সরিয়ে দিয়ে দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি দিতে হবে। তা না হলে আলেম-উলামারা বুকের তাজা রক্ত দিয়ে ইসলাম রক্ষা করবে। ইসলামী আন্দোলনের আমির ও চরমোনাই পীর মুফতি সৈয়দ মুহাম্মদ রেজাউল করীম গভীর উদ্বেগ ও ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করে বলেছেন, ইফার ইমাম প্রশিক্ষণ অনুষ্ঠানে আইন প্রতিমন্ত্রী ও ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্য প্রমাণ করে সরকারি পৃষ্ঠপোষকতায় ইসলাম ধ্বংসের মিশন চলছে। খেলাফত মজলিসের আমির মাওলানা মোহাম্মদ ইসহাক ও মহাসচিব ড. আহমদ আবদুল কাদের এক যুক্ত বিবৃতিতে বলেছেন, আওয়ামী লীগ ও তার সাঙ্গপাঙ্গরা ইসলাম বিকৃতির এজেন্ডা নিয়ে মাঠে নেমেছে। তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আলেমদের ঐক্যবদ্ধ হতে হবে।
ইসলামী ঐক্য আন্দোলন ঢাকা মহানগরীর আমির ড. মাওলানা মুহাম্মদ এনামুল হক আজাদ ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক এসএস সাখাওয়াত হুসাইন এক যুক্ত বিবৃতিতে বলেন, শতকরা ৯০ ভাগ মুসলিম অধ্যুষিত রাষ্ট্রের দায়িত্বশীল ব্যক্তিদের বক্তব্য-বিবৃতি দেখে মনে হয়—এরা আবু জাহেল, আবু লাহাবদেরও হার মানাবে। এছাড়া জাতীয় ফতোয়া বোর্ড, ১০ শহস্র্রাধিক আলেমসহ বিভিন্ন মহল থেকে প্রতিবাদ জানানো হয়েছে। এদিকে ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের ডিজি শামীম মোহাম্মদ আফজল বর্তমান সরকারের পক্ষে আগামী জানুয়ারি-ফেব্রুয়ারিতে ঢাকায় এক লাখ ইমামের সমাবেশ ঘটানোর ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন। অন্যদিকে আওয়ামী লীগের যুগ্ম সাধারণ সম্পাদক মাহবুবুল আলম হানিফ এ সম্মেলন আয়োজনে সরকার ও আওয়ামী লীগের পক্ষ থেকে সর্বাত্মক সহযোগিতার আশ্বাস দিয়েছেন। ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন আয়োজিত মানবসম্পদ উন্নয়নে ধর্মীয় নেতাদের সম্পৃক্তকরণ প্রকল্পের দুই দিনব্যাপী বার্ষিক সভা ও কর্মশালার সমাপনী অনুষ্ঠানে গতকাল ইফা ডিজি এ ঘোষণা দেন। বায়তুল মোকাররম ইফা মিলনায়তনে সমাপনী অনুষ্ঠানে মাহবুবুল আলম হানিফ প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন। শনিবার এ কর্মশালার উদ্বোধনী বক্তব্যে ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রী অ্যাডভোকেট শাহজাহান মিয়া সামপ্রদায়িক সম্প্র্রীতির কথা বলতে গিয়ে বলেছিলেন, রাসুল (সা.) মসজিদের অর্ধেক হিন্দুদের পূজার জন্য ছেড়ে দিয়েছিলেন। অন্যদিকে ইফা ডিজি বলেছিলেন, রাসুল (সা.) মসজিদের অর্ধেক ইহুদিদের জন্য ছেড়ে দিয়েছিলেন। তাদের এ বক্তব্যের পর ইমামরা ক্ষোভে ফেটে পড়েন এবং তীব্র প্রতিবাদ জানান।
