Bangabandhu was bargaining with Yahia for the IMPLEMENTATION OF SIX POINTS . You better know that full implementation of six points means "Bloodless Independence of Bangladesh" . Bangabandhu knew that Yahia-Bhutto will not agree with the implementation of  six points , so he kept the dialogue open in one hand and prepared the mass for the ultimate Liberation war on the other hand . It was a prudent and pragmatic decision on the part of Bangabandhu at that time.

If Bangabandhu had declared Independence emotionally and unilaterally on March 7 , then Pakistani Military ruler would tainted him as a TRAITOR ! A traitor never get support from any body . Thanks , Allah (SWT) to provide us a leader like Bangabandhu .

Muzaffar NAP participated in the election and did not win any seat in the National assembly but they did win 2 provincial assembly seats. Mr. Sengupta was one of them from NAP. You are right, Bhashani did not want to run election under Military rule. It was blessings in disguise to Sheikh Mujib. Even 5 seats by NAP Bhashani would change the whole game. And I can assure you, Bhashani's people in NAP would have taken 5 NA seats at least in the then East Pakistan.
 
Now, I want to agree on one thing that you said about government's total dependence on intelligence units. Your Netri, Delhir Razakar, Hasina Wazed Mia is doing that more than Yahya did in the then Pakistan. Could you please suggest her on  the consequences? Please tell her to read the national mind of Bamgladesh and start acting accordingly.
