Re: [mukto-mona] Fw: [KHABOR] Afzal Khan (Dateline Islamabad) not Dipanjon Roy disclosed the ISI boss testimony

BNP-Jamaat's 'huuka-hua' will not be stopped so easily. Money can buy more 'khekshials'.

Government led by Sheik Hasina needs to concentrate more on delivering the election promises. No one expect them to be 100% successful, but people needs to see something concrete and little bit faster. Only then the hukka-hua will stop.

More speed and efficiency is required -time is running out.

More vigilance is required - BNP-Jamaat has agents everywhere.

More diplomacy is required - creating problem with journalists and Clinton family is not a good idea (you have to accept the reality).

More effective 'prochar' is required - emphasize on  effective - this is Awami League's weakest point, another weakness is 'ghorer shotru bibhishon' (for example - who engineered the defeat of Mohiuddin Chowdhury? there are many mor example)

Some of my observations regarding the performance

Agriculture - excellent
Education - excellent
Food - excllent

Power and energy - very good. Going in the right direction.

Communication - Syed Abul Hossain did a very good job in preparatory steps for Padma Bridge. Then Sheikh Hasina antagonized Clinton family and as a result World Bank had put a dead-lock. I am not sure how AL government will handle this but time is running out. It is true whatever alternative source of funding is arranged by the government hostile press led by Motiur Rahman (pother fakir turned koti-poti) will come back yelling, but Prime Minister should move ahead with bold steps (I am not very impressed with Obaidul Kader)

Finance - mostly good but inefficient handling of share market (Mr. Muhit should recognize that mindset of small investors in Bangladesh is different from other countries - they don't understand that stock market can never be treated as a regular source of income in short term, Government did not care at the begining or failed to discourage the small investors from buying over-priced stocks). Also Mr Muhit talks too much but don't know how to talk.
Anyway AL needs to highlight all positive economic indicators.

Foreign Ministry - Excellent minister but inefficient and talkative advisor. There is lot of positive here. Only thing that got highlighted is arbitration with Myanmar. Why don't AL highlight extremely high growth of exports to India?

I don't know much about other ministries.

Final comment -  I am little bit disappointed at the progress in the trial of War criminals. More efficient prosecutors needs to be included in the team. The witnesses should be reassured and provided ample protection. If Awami League fails in this, Bangladesh will go back to middle ages again.

Regards

Afzal Khan (Dateline Islamabad) not Dipanjon Roy initially disclosed the ISI boss testimony

Paying money to Khaleda Zia & BNP  was a classified information for ISI.

Now the truth has popped out ....

ISI operatives in Bangladesh are trying for damage control ... and divert attention
from the real issue:
ISI paid money to BNP ..... the published news is just the tipof the iceberg......
Obviously, there are many other payments which are still ISI's Classified info.

The initial report that disclosed the money paid by ISI to Khaleda Zia
was written by Pakistani journalist Afzal Khan (Dateline Islamabad)
This was published in Dubai based Khaleej times on March 3, 2012.

(1) Fakhrul claimed: "The first news to appear in this regard was in Khaleej Times.
An Indian journalist named Dipanjan Roy wrote the report. No Pakistani newspaper
ran any such report,"

was written by renowned Pakistani  journalist  Afzal Khan (Dateline Islamabad),
not by Diponjon Roy. Diponjon Roy's artcle in Daily Mail appeared on March 15, 2012.
