[mukto-mona] RE: [PakistanWritersClub-Riyadh] Allama "Mashriqi’s role eulogized"

Tarek Fatah's concession to the Bengalis who had been and continue to be victimized by the fascism of Abul ala Moududi -- a Pohela Baisakh gift,  he says very kindly.  Thanks Tarek, it is a nice gesture!  Our Bangladeshi politicians hate reading, but let us hope the Bangali Jamaati intellectuals do some reading. They have really never stopped beating the drum despite their defeat in 1971, and their drumbeat is keeping the country destabilized.

[ For Mr. Yousuf Reaz: I seriously doubt that the 2-nation theory-pushers were poring over the ayats of the Qur'an for a subtext to support their communal project.  Afterthoughts don't count. All we know is what the incredibly bloody history has laid bare as a result of the Partition based on this colonially instigated assumption]

Friends,

I've decided to make my book  "Chasing a Mirage: The Tragic Illusion of an Islamic State" available to everyone, free of cost.

The hardbound edition has been sold out and I was hoping for those who cannot afford the @29.95 price not be left out of the picture.

So on the occasion of the Bangla New Year and Baisakhi, download the book by clicking this link:

It is good that Allama Mashriqi is being remembered. The giant no doubt. He did his best what he deemed right. But to say that the history of the creation of Pakistan and freedom of India is pack of lies is too much. Being a student of history myself, devoted to researches, having first hand knowledge through my own family and surroundings, through Muslim and non Muslim historians, know that history is not pack of lies. Colouring 'history' is not free from 'ultra-bias'. This can be said, however, that proper justice to Great Mashriqi is not done.
Yousuf Reaz.

Mashriqi's role eulogized

Nazir Siyal

Larkana—Khaksar Tehreek, Chief Allama Mashriqi played a major role in bringing freedom to the Indian of sub-continent and served his nation with the utmost devotion and in return sought no monetary gains or public office.

While expressing his views by an intellectual scholar and historian Nasim Yousaf has warned the people of sub-continent that they should learn the lessons from the mistakes of the past. He also repeated the words of Allama Mashriqi, ascertained the hidden truth about the indo-pak history. He stressed the people of sub-continent that remember, history is unforgiving to nations that mutilate their past.

He urged that wake-up and realizes why India was divided. Pakistan and India's history is written under the influence of the All-India Muslim League and the Indian National Congress respectively; it is nothing but a pack of utter lies he told.

The All-India Muslim League's slogans of Hindu domination and Islam in danger in a united India were not based in reality he said, added the Two-Nation Theory was publicized to spread communalism and to seek political agendas. Many people might be surprised to hear that the Muslim League's victory in the 1946 elections was on the crutches of the powerful Government bureaucracy he told.

He further said those of you who have not read history should know that partition brought miseries that are rarely seen in history and millions of innocent Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs were brutally slaughtered. My heart bleeds when I think of the suffering of helpless individuals and the females who, at the time of the partition of India, were ruthlessly raped he expressed.

They became victims of the confrontational and selfish politics of the All-India Muslim League and Indian National Congress. It is unfortunate that a holocaust of this magnitude continues to be dismissed for political reasons he said.
