I am very much in agreement with Mr. Mahbub Kamal

It will be good for Awami Legue and thus good for Bangladesh if Mr. Sengupta resigns immediately. I am not sure to what extent he is involved, or what kind of conspiracy is brewing  but public perception is very important. We need Awami League to come back to power just to save the country from the BNP-Jamaat rule of jungle, but signs are not good.

Everyone one knows what BNP-Jamaaat did while they were in power, but Awami League is not and should not be like them.

Likes of Suranjit and Amu intentionally harmed Awami League after 1-11 (I feel sympathy for Jalil though - he is unwell and could not bear the inhuman torture at his age, also his personality is very week).

Suranjit criticized the present government everyday before he became a minister, not all his criticism were justified. Likes of Suranjit and Manna are more harmful to Awami League than apparent opponents.

I know there are black-sheeps in Awami League, still I believe Awami League under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina have the capability and willingness to lead Bangladesh towards a prosperous secular Bangladesh. I have utmost faith in her sincerety too.

I hope Mr. Sengupta resigns and save the country.

Thank you

Absolutely this indeed is a HUGE progress and PM Hasina deserves some credit on that; no one would claim system is perfect. But it is way better today that it was 3 & 1/2 years ago under previous BNP-JAMAT govt. I still remember Nazmul Huda (then communication minister) grabbing Railway property worth cores of cores of taka and no action was taken. Commerce minister was involved with syndicate himselft for price fixing game and nothing happened.. nothing nada.... I remember when Col. (retd) Oli was the communication minister(1991-1996), he leased Railway properties left and right and cashed in cores of cores of taka personally and again no action. List can go on and on... but having current Railway minister Suronjeet Sen Gupta accountable is the right trend. But let's get too far ahead here. Let the investigation got through it's course and reveal it's finding before concluding what was his role. Shall we?
Thanks, M.Islam

The used to be no investigation into any allegation against ministers in the past, but now the graft watchdog will do,"----ACC Chairman.
Is that not wonderful?
We all should congratulate Hasina for the bold step that will ensure transparency to a great extent.
Trial in case of Mujib assasination was done in the lower court. That was another good example that she created.

My Comment:
Thanks to DUDOK for the order of investigation against RATS member Suronjeet.. DUDOK Has to prove that it has authority to punish the Minister Suronjeet.
If found guilty Surongeet should be arrested/remaded and prosecuted, no mercy should be
given to the wrongdoer Minister.

Savar, Apr 11 (UNB) - Anti-Corruption Commission chairman Ghulam Rahman on Wednesday said the commission will investigate the allegation of bribe scam against Railways Minister Suranjit Sengupta.

"There used to be no investigation into any allegation against ministers in the past, but now the graft watchdog will do," he said while addressing the concluding ceremony of a training programme for the newly-appointed 28 ACC Assistant Directors.

The ACC chairman also said the commission will also conduct investigation into the allegations of corruption in the Padma Bridge project and against Destiny.

Ghulam Rahman urged the newly-appointed ACC officers to sincerely perform their duties and have clear ideas about ACC's rules and regulations so that no bigwig can escape through the loopholes of laws.

Chaired by Rector of BPATC AZM Shafiqul Alam, the programme was addressed, among others, by SCC Commissioner Md Badiuzzaman and Secretary Faizur Rahman Chowdhury.

The function was held at the Bangladesh Public Administration and Training Centre.
