Education is always a pathetic and least priority for BAL. All the public universities' VCs were picked by Hasina based on the loyalty even the Bongobondhu Med Univ VC doesn't qualify to become an University teacher. As a result even the teachers who support BAL became frustrated. All the private universities were threatened with stricter rules and made some easy rules for foreign universities to come and make money (off course only the Indian private universities).
Higher education is a joke in Bangladesh now.
Dr. Hasina introducted 5th grade and 8th grade board exams. As a result a lot of the poor students don't even appear in the exams because of the fees and then going to the exam center which can be 5/6 miles from home. Those who appear about 1/3 fail. That means over 1/3 of the students have to discontinue their education either in 5th grade or in 8th grade. This system is creating a lot of 5th grade fail and 8th grade fail educated people. These exams discourage poor Bangladeshis from pursuing more education.
Another trick of Hasina to systematically destroy the education of Bangladesh.
