Chaplin is generally true when it comes to personal relationships, although power of power cannot be discounted all the time. Even power may be needed to raise children. An optimum mixture may become essential.
At aggregate levels (inter-group, international, and even intra-group relations), power has since long played a decisive role. Power comes in various forms viz. political, military, economic, and socio-cultural. Those who want to do something harmful to some one by using power, what else can he do if not using power to counter them?
