Dear Rumi,
What is perhaps most intriguing is that the Friends and Family, Inc., and the Embassy of Bangladesh in USA joined their efforts in debuting the first ever "One of a kind" Baul Mela-where Folk Music from Bangladesh and American Country Music indeed demonstrated exhilarating manifestation of the power of melody at the Sylvan Theatre of historic Washington Monument under the theme "Universal Overtone of the Country and Folk Music Transcending Cultural Boundaries".
I wish to extend my gratitude and salutation to you for coordinating on behalf of Friends and Family, Inc., as well as to the Embassy of Bangladesh for the unmatched program at the historic Washington Monument! Inconceivably, the notion of undertaking such an enormous program of this magnitude for the first time ever at a historic main stream impact site, and successful discharging of the program undoubtedly deserve special kudos which cannot be underestimated!
I also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to H.E. Ambassador Akramul Qader for spearheading the enormous effort and for providing the necessary leadership and guidance. I must express my appreciation for Mr. Nirupam Deb Nath, First Secretary and Head of Chancery, the Embassy of Bangladesh who coordinated the program on Embassy's behalf, superbly, diligently and efficiently!
It was truly an honor and a pleasure for me to be a part of this historic program!
