Some ignorant or জ্ঞান পাপী are labelling Engr Mahmudur Rahman is a brave, genius, efficient, experienced politician!

 

But in reality, he is an utmost corrupt and inefficient and worthless guy!

Not now, even during his BUET and Dhaka College student life!

 

1st

He was not a 'genius' at all!

How many academically 'genius' our Bangladesh produces or get in a year?

Say, as an average 60, 70 or say even 100 geniuses per year!

If 100 genius was there per year, than Bangladesh would have been an intellectually rich country-nation and we should not depends on lots of overseas consultants and foreigners!

 

Then BUET may have maximum 40 (assuming 40 %).

Engr Mahmudur Rahman was never ever within top 40 in BUET!

I think he was not even within 250 to 300 out of 420 nos of Students in BUET at that time, in a year!

 

No let we ponder his other professional activities, than academic:

I have a chance to evaluate and observe him very closely when I was working in BEL, BEXIMCO Engg Ltd with him!

He was 'made' CEO of 3 units (out of 19 units) of BEXIMCO Group (as a son in law of BNP's influential MP (from 2 seats) & Minister Mr. Harunur Rashid Munnu through mainly Sohel Rahman) in 1995-1996. But within short period, he was kicked out from all the units, due to his incompetence! See on the other hand, Mr. Najmul Hasan (Papon) MP (son of late President Jillur Rahman). He is successfully promoted and continued as CEO of BAXIMCO Pharma, only profitable unit of BEXIMCO Group. Papon is an all-rounder and a very good sportsman too. But I have a chance to defeat him in contact bridge competition of BEXMCIO group

 

2nd

I have not found him (neither in leadership nor in participant role also) in any kind of extracurricular activities in our hall or in BUET life! He was like an unnoticed mini cat!

 

He was not at all involved in any politics or any other extracurricular activities!

 

Also not involved in any other activities, like other student activities, which generally most of the University, specially BUET student does (except some 'book warm' and গাধা).

He was never involved in:

 

1.       Any diverse cultural activities/item (including joke, each of the BUET hall every year celebrate this week very gorgeously)

 

2.       Any sports activities (both indoor & out door)!

 

3.       Debate (BUET had very strong debate team in each hall and centrally also. BUET became national Champion couple of times)

 

4.       BUET Student's movement (we participated and then led many pro-student movements in our BUET life, like, provision of adequate gaps between 2 exams, extended 3 week, preparatory leave etc)

 

5.       He was not even involved in any professional (Engineers or প্রকৃচি) movement. Neither during his BUET life nor during his professional life. Being a student of 2nd year in BUET I actively participated in historical "Pay scale movement" of প্রকৃচি in 1977 led by IEB.

 

6.       Though he is the President of the BNP minded engineers organization, EAB. But we have never seen him in IEB actibities, before he became Khaleda's Minister-Adviser in 2002. On the other hand see the professional and organizational career and honesty of Bangabandhu minded Engineer's Organization, BPP's Presidents, Dr. Gholam Mostafa (a well-known Engineer and ex MD of Dhaka WASA. His wife was head of our Chemical Engg Deptt in BUET), another BPP's ex-President was, Engr. A K M Ishaq (a Chemical Enggr), বীর প্রতীক, elected VP of EUCSU, defeated Engr Siraj Sikdar and was in top position in BCIC

 

7.       He was not involved in any journalism or in any kind of reporting to Dhaka dailies-weeklies, even not with hall magazines, RAG magazines etc

 

8.       I have never seen him in any popular common hall gathering (আড্ডা-গেজানো, like in TV room, Dining room, Common room, inter hall বাক ('গালি') যুদ্ধ or even regular evening আড্ডা-গেজানো in front of famous Sher – E - Bangla Hall "ফুয়ারা")

 

9.       Religious group (I have never seen him to say prayer in our hall mosque (though I used to say 90% of my prayer in our hall mosque and in Jamat. That is why I had developed a good relationship with BUET's strong and rich Tablig group!)

 

10.     Other fun and social activities like, RAG, Excursion, Hall Picnic, "New Year Title" or Study tour, পহেলা বৈশাখ , ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারী, স্বাধীনতা দিবস, বিজয় দিবস etc

 

11.     Finally, he is a very dangerous, wild and vindictive person. It is proved by his men minded steps-actions against his call friend (being a University mate, department mate and colleague too) at last phase of his friend's professional career!

 

I know many things about his huge corruption and informed our media, but no joy!

Because our media always support and back corrupt!

akramulqader@gmail.com Sent: Monday, April 15, 2013 1:02 PM Subject: [Bangladesh-Zindabad] Government closed Amar Desh by force   গায়ের জোরে আমার দেশ বন্ধ করেছে সরকার: কর্তৃপক্ষ ১৫ এপ্রিল,২০১৩   Share on print7           নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক আরটিএনএন ঢাকা: দৈনিক আমার দেশের সম্পাদক মাহমুদুর রহমানকে গ্রেপ্তার ও ছাপাখানা সিলগালা করে দেয়ার পর আইন অনুসারে ঢাকা জেলা প্রশাসনকে জানিয়ে অন্য একটি প্রেস থেকে পত্রিকাটি ছাপার উদ্যোগ নেয়া হয়েছিল- সেখান থেকেও ছাপা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে সরকার। সোমবার ঢাকায় এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে একথা জানিয়েছে পত্রিকাটির কর্তৃপক্ষ। তবে সাময়িকভাবে বন্ধ থাকলেও খুব শিগগিরই আমার দেশ আবার প্রকাশ করা হবে বলে আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেছেন তারা। পত্রিকাটির সাংবাদিক ও আইনজীবীরা জানান, সরকার অবৈধভাবে আমার দেশ ছাপাখানায় সিলগালা করেছে এবং সর্বশেষ আল ফালাহ প্রিন্টিং প্রেস থেকে কর্মচারী গ্রেপ্তার করে সরকার তা ছাপানো বন্ধ করেছে। পত্রিকাটির আইনজীবী সালেহ উদ্দিন বলেন, আমার দেশ প্রকাশ করতে আইনগত কোনো বাধা নেই। এরপরেও সরকার জোর করে ছাপাখানা সিলগালা ও আল ফালাহ প্রিন্টিং প্রেস থেকে পত্রিকার ছাপা বন্ধ করেছে। এর বিরুদ্ধে আইনগতভাবে লড়াই করে অচিরেই আমার দেশ প্রকাশ করা হবে। তিনি জানান, প্রেস ও পাবলিকেশন্স' এর ৪/২ (বি) ও ১০ নং ধারা অনুযায়ী ঢাকা জেলা প্রশাসককে অন্য প্রেস থেকে পত্রিকা ছাপার বিষয়টি অবহিত করা হয়। যার রিসিভ কপি আমর দেশ কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে আছে। এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে সালেহ উদ্দিন বলেন, জেলা প্রশাসকের বক্তব্য আইনের সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ নয়। প্রেস এ্যান্ড পাবলিকেশন্স আইন-১৯৭৩ অনুযায়ি নির্দিষ্ট প্রেসে পত্রিকা ছাপতে না পারলে অন্য কোনো প্রেসে পত্রিকা ছাপার ২৪ ঘন্টার মধ্যে জেলা প্রশাসককে জানাতে হবে। আমার দেশ কর্তৃপক্ষ ২৪ ঘন্টার কম সময়ে জেলা প্রশাসককে লিখিতভাবে জানিয়েছে, যার কপি আমাদের কাছে রয়েছে। জেলা প্রশাসক বিভিন্ন গণমাধ্যমে দেয়া বক্তব্যে বিষয়টি গত ১২ এপ্রিলই স্বীকার করেছেন। এরপরও জেলা প্রশাসক বলছেন, আমার দেশ কর্তৃপক্ষ পত্রিকা অন্য প্রেস থেকে ছাপার ব্যাপারে কোনো অনুমতি নেয়নি। আইনজীবী মাসুদ আহমেদ তালুকদার বলেন, আইনে অনুমতি নেয়ার বিষয় নেই। বরং শুধু অবহিত করার বিধান রয়েছে, যা আমার দেশ কর্তৃপক্ষ করেছে। উপরন্ত আপিল বিভাগের নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ি আমার দেশ প্রকাশিত হওয়ার কারণে এর প্রকাশনা বাধাগ্রস্ত করা আদালত অবমাননার শামিল। এ বিষয়ে যথাযথ আইনী পদক্ষেপ নেয়ার বিষয়টি প্রক্রিয়াধীন। 'কিন্তু গত ১২ ও ১৩ এপ্রিল পত্রিকা প্রকাশ হলেও ১৪ এপ্রিল পত্রিকার প্রকাশের সময় ১ এপ্রিল রাত ১১টার দিকে পুলিশ আল-ফালাহ অভিযান চালিয়ে প্রিন্টিং প্রেস তল্লাশি চালিয়ে মুদ্রণ কপি জব্দ করে। সেখানে কর্মরত ১৯ জন সংবাদকর্মীকে গ্রেপ্তার করে' যোগ করেন সালেহ উদ্দিন। তিনি জানান, আমার দেশ যে দুইদিন বের হয়েছিল পত্রিকার নিচে লেখা ছিল কোথায় থেকে পত্রিকার ছাপা হয়েছে। তিনি বলেন, পত্রিকাটি ছাপা বন্ধ করায় পত্রিকা অফিসের প্রায় তিনশ' সাংবাদিক, কর্মকর্তা, কর্মচারী ও ঢাকার বাইরে কর্মরত আরও প্রায় পাঁচশ' সাংবাদিক ও তাদের পরিবার অনিশ্চয়তার মধ্যে পড়েছেন। আমার দেশের নির্বাহী সম্পাদক সৈয়দ আবদাল আহমেদ জানান, মাহমুদুর রহমানকে গ্রেপ্তার করার পর প্রেস তল্লাশি ও এক পর্যায়ে সেখানে তালাবন্ধ করে দেয়া হয়। তিনি জানান, ১৯৭৩ সাল প্রেস অ্যান্ড পাবলিকেন্স অ্যাক্ট অনুযায়ী আল-ফালাহ প্রিন্টিং প্রেস থেকে অস্থায়ীভাবে আমার দেশ কর্তৃপক্ষ বিকল্প ব্যবস্থায় পত্রিকা প্রকাশের উদ্যোগ নেয়। আবদাল আহমেদ অভিযোগ করে বলেন, সোমবারও সাদা পোশাকধারী পুলিশ আমার দেশ পত্রিকার কার্যালয়ের অভ্যর্থনা কক্ষে সাংবাদিকদের প্রবেশ নানা হয়রানি করেছে। 'আমার দেশ পত্রিকার অনলাইন সংস্করণ বা ডিক্লারেশন বাতিল না করলেও বেআইনিভাবে ছাপাখানা বন্ধসহ নানাভাবে পত্রিকা প্রকাশে হয়রানি করছে' যোগ করেন তিনি। আমার দেশ কি বন্ধ হয়ে গেল- সাংবাদিকদের এমন প্রশ্নের জবাবে পত্রিকাটির আইনজীবী সালেহ উদ্দিন জানান, 'আমার দেশ প্রকাশ বন্ধ করতে এখনও আদালত থেকে আমরা কোনো লিখিত নোটিশ পাইনি।' তিনি বলেন, সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে সত্য লেখায় পত্রিকাটিকে রোষানলে পড়তে হয়েছে মাত্র। যেহেতু পত্রিকার সম্পাদক মাহমুদুর রহমানকে গ্রেপ্তার ও পত্রিকাটি হয়রানির শিকার হচ্ছে, এতে পত্রিকাটি প্রকাশে কিছু দিন দেরি হতে পারে। সংবাদ সম্মেলনে অন্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পত্রিকাটির সাহিত্য সম্পাদক কবি হাসান হাফিজ, নিউজ এডিটর জাহেদ চৌধুরী, সিটি এডিটর এম আবদুল্লাহ ও আমার দেশের পক্ষে আইনজীবী মাসুদ আহমেদ তালুকদার।     Amar Desh authorities should publish its online issues continuously without interuption. But I doubt pro-government administration under pressure from Sheikh Hasina will grant permission to publish print edition.     আমার দেশ সাময়িক বন্ধ ঘোষণা স্টাফ করেসপন্ডেন্ট বাংলানিউজটোয়েন্টিফোর.কম ছবি: নাজমুল হাসান/বাংলানিউজটোয়েন্টিফোর.কম ঢাকা: দৈনিক আমার দেশ পত্রিকার প্রকাশনা সাময়িকভাবে বন্ধ ঘোষণা করলেন পত্রিকাটির সাংবাদিকরা। সোমবার বিকেলে জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাবে আয়োজিত এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে আমার দেশ পত্রিকার নির্বাহী সম্পাদক সৈয়দ আবদাল আহমদ পত্রিকাটির প্রকাশনা সাময়িক বন্ধের ঘোষণা দেন। এ সময় পত্রিকাটির সাহিত্য সম্পাদক হাসান হাফিজ, নিউজ এডিটর জাহেদ চৌধুরী, সিটি এডিটর এম আব্দুল্লাহ এবং আমার দেশের আইনজীবী সালাহ উদ্দিন ও মাসুদ আহমেদ তালুকদার উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সংবাদ সম্মেলনে আইনি লড়াইয়ের মাধ্যমে অচিরেই আবার আমার দেশ প্রকাশের প্রত্যাশা ব্যক্ত করে পত্রিকাটির আইনজীবী সালাহ উদ্দিন বলেন, "আমার দেশ প্রকাশ করতে আইনগত কোনো বাধা নেই। তারপরও সরকার জোর করে প্রেস সিলগালা ও আল ফালাহ প্রিন্টিং প্রেসে পত্রিকাটি ছাপা বন্ধ করেছে। এর বিরুদ্ধে আমরা আইনি লড়াই চালিয়ে যাবো।" তিনি বলেন, "প্রেস ও পাবলিকেশন্স'র ধারা ৪/২ (বি) ও ১০ ধারা অনুযায়ী ঢাকা জেলা প্রশাসককে (ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট) আমরা অন্য ঠিকানা থেকে পত্রিকা প্রকাশের বিষয়টি অবহিত করি। কিন্তু ওই প্রেস থেকে গত ১২ ও ১৩ এপ্রিল পত্রিকা প্রকাশ করা গেলেও ১৪ এপ্রিল পত্রিকা প্রকাশের সময় রাত ১১টার দিকে পুলিশ আল ফালাহ প্রেসে অভিযান চাল‍ায়। তারা মুদ্রিত পত্রিকা জব্দ করে ও সেখানে কর্মরত ১৯ জন সংবাদকর্মীকে গ্রেফতার করে নিয়ে যায়।" তিনি জানান, আমার দেশ ছাপা বন্ধ করার কারণে পত্রিকা অফিসের সাড়ে ৩শ' সাংবাদিক, কর্মকর্তা, কর্মচারী ও ঢাকার বাইরে কর্মরত আরো প্রায় ৫শ' সাংবাদিক ও তাদের পরিবার অনিশ্চয়তায় পড়েছেন। সৈয়দ আবদাল আহমদ বলেন, "মাহমুদুর রহমানকে গ্রেফতার করার পর প্রেস তল্লাশি ও এক পর্যায়ে প্রেস সিলগালা করে দেওয়া হয়। এ পরিস্থিতিতে ১৯৭৩ সালের প্রেস অ্যান্ড পাবলিকেন্স অ্যাক্ট অনুযায়ী আল ফালাহ প্রিন্টিং প্রেস থেকে অস্থায়ীভাবে আমার দেশ কর্তৃপক্ষ বিকল্প ব্যবস্থায় পত্রিকা প্রকাশের উদ্যেগে নেয়।" তিনি বলেন, "সোমবারও সাদা পোশাকধারী পুলিশ আমার দেশ এর রিসিপশনে সাংবাদিকদের প্রবেশে নানা হয়রানি করেছে। আমার দেশ পত্রিকার অনলাইন সংস্করণ বা ডিক্লারেশন বাতিল না করলেও বেআইনিভাবে ছাপাখানা বন্ধসহ নানাভাবে পত্রিকা প্রকাশে হয়রানি করছে।" বাংলাদেশ সময়: ১৯০০ ঘণ্টা, এপ্রিল ১৫, ২০১৩   ____________________________________________________________ 1 Odd spice that FIGHTS diabetes Can this unusual "super spice" control your blood sugar and fight diabetes? diabetesreversed.com
