I want to propose a Speculating competition: Who do you think is the ghost-writer? Rounding up the usual suspects, I have M B I Munshi -- I detect his pet peeves ... BAKSHAL ( and because of BAKSHAL Maj. Gen. Zia is the Shining Knight in Armour -- the rescuer of Democracy! Someone suggested Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury. I say, naaaah! SMC had some dignity, and is not a psychopath like MBI Munshi.

[My immediate 'comments' that I posted in the Washington Post on line]

This ghost-written piece is by the Leader of the Opposition Party, an elected member of the Parliament of Bangladesh, whose ghost-like non-attendance of the Parliament is a ridiculous misdemeanor unprecedented in any country of the world. She and the other MPs of her party draw the hefty public salary and enjoy all the perks without turning in an hour's worth of 'business of the people'. The current Govt. was formed after a landslide victory for the Awami League in 2008 election that was internationally monitored and observed and hailed as one of the largest electorate that turned out to vote in a democracy.

Khaleda Zia is soliciting the case of Mohammed Yunus who is accused of mishandling the assets of Grameen Bank, whose shareholders are the poor womenfolks of Bangladesh who had the temerity of being in debt to the GB, in a manner that would be termed as 'money laundering' in any financial scandal.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh has done very well not only in economical aspects, but in almost every indicator of human development, leaving a great big country like India way behind. These are verifiable facts, not anyone's opinion. Check the annual financial world reports of 2012.
