Re: [mukto-mona] Theists and atheists - an Opinion piece in the Dailiy Star

The interesting part is almost all different parts of the world people believe in some higher power who controls eco-system around them. Even tribal people in Africa or most remote places have some concept of God among them. It seems this is our "Natural disposition" as well. Joseph Campbell presented this common ground in his ground breaking work.

He was known as one of the most influential thinkers of last century. So I do not think our atheist friends can just ignore it if they respect logic, knowledge and science. We have millions of creations around us with amazing harmony. All of it cannot be some kind of accident. Since we have NOT witnessed any new species in front of us which broke norm of nature and appeared by "Accident" or in a lab.

Now a days scholars are learning about Islam and finding it sync with laws of nature as well.

It is a strange write-up.

The particle, Higgs Boson, was called Goddamn Particle initially and God Particle later. The name was given out of frustration because it was too difficult to find, just like God is too difficult to find. This has absolutely nothing to do with the existence of God, might have something to do with the fact that for many centuries people have been believing in God (mostly out of fear of the unknown), and Oh God, Goddamn, My God, etc. are phrases that have gotten into the human vocabulary, even for people who do not believe in God.

It is a very disappointingly poor write up from a Ph.D. in Physics/Mathematics, who is also a former chairman of some kind of a space research and remote sensing organization.
