Ms. Rinku Rani Saha – a brilliant student of Dhanbari Nabab Institute and she also passed Intermediate & Secondary Examination, got scholarship (GPA-5)from Dhanbari College. She was preparing herself to appear Medical examination from Mymensingh Retina Coaching Centre staying at Mymensingh Charpara Residential Hostel. While Ms. Rinku was going to take coaching class at Retina Coaching Centre-Mymensingh, she was forcefully kidnapped from the road by a Micro Bus and decamped. As per first information report (FIR) lodged by Ms. Noyan Tara Saha – mother of the victim (Being  Mymensingh Model P.S. case No.10 dated
03.09.2013 under section 7/9(1)30 of Women and Children Repression
Act,2003) against those perpetrators. A general diary Number 80 dated
02.08.2013 was also filed Mr.Krishna Saha (uncle of the victim) at Mymensingh Model police station. On 30.07.2013 at about 7.10 a.m.
Mymensingh Police neglected to take any action on receipt of General diary Number 80 dated 02.08.2013 for recovery of the victim girl. But as soon as the legal guardian of the victim came to know that the victim was abducted at Chinatoli-Lalmonirhat by the above perpetrators with the collusion of local Chairman – Md. Mofazzal Hossain and local Union Parishad Member – Raifiqul Islam. Police was repeatedly informed, but while police was trying to arrest the perpetrators at the abducted place, perpetrators attacked police on 25.08.2013 and police came back without any successful result, although a case against perpetrators for police assault being case No.56 dated
25.08.2013 started.
Perpetrators, with ill intention, converted the victim girl by swearing an affidavit by the Notary public on 20.08.2013 as alleged.
But police till writing of this report, could not recover the victim girl or any perpetrator arrested.
BDMW visited Lalmonirhat police station on 11.11.13, talked with the Officer in charge – Mr. Zamiruddin Sarkar who also expressed that they tried to recover the girl but rather police have been attacked by the perpetrators and came back from the spot. I also talked with S.P.
Lalmonirhat District who also give us to understand that police is trying to recover the girl. We also collected copy of F.I.R and the G.Entry related to this case.
Bangladesh Minority Watch is very much concerned about the abduction and forceful conversion of the minor girl – Ms. Rinku Rani Saha and we demand immediate rescue of the victim girl and immediate arrest of the perpetrators and exemplary punishment should be awarded.

With best Regards,
