Re: [mukto-mona] জামাত এবং তাদের ১৯৭১ এর যুদ্ধাপরাধের বিষয়ে আমাদের অবস্থান

Universal fairness to all irrespective of any identity, orientation, sex, or belief is still a far cry.

>>>>>>>> You are right about it. However that is the standard (It is calling for justice for all ------even an enemy!!).

No religion or ideology has yet been able to deliver it

>>>>>>>>>> Muslims were able to come close to it in different phases of history but they have gone away from those "Golden days". I feel as long a lot of Muslims understand the Qurán and strive for that standard, we'll have a better world for everyone.

Recent ban on homosexuality in India has been nothing but walking backward in history and gross violation of human rights of gays and lesbians.

>>>>>>>>> Our south Asian cultures and scriptures of all major religion reject such relations.

Some of these sect did live among most communities throughout history. Now if someone can keep such relations without their household, God can deliver justice when they face their Maker.

However the new demand is not about having sex "Differently" but they are asking for official recognition. Indian court looked into it and rejected that phase. As far as gays and Lesbians are concern, the state cannot get into anyone's bedroom but it is the duty of a state to define "Marriage". Which is a very hot topic in the USA as well.

I respectfully disagree with your opinion on it. I feel our children have the "Fundamental right" to learn how nature designed our families and marriages. If anyone want to experiment sex with same gender or animals, it should NOT be recognized or promoted in public space.

Yes our mainstream values are defined by our culture, history and religions. I prefer our children learn about family values from these sources than MTV or some tiny sect from San Fransisco.

We the people have the right to protect our children from child molesters and other perverts.

I do understand some people like to support gay lifestyle, I just have to disagree with them. Either way, it should not and cannot be forced unto population. The majority population of the world have equal right to reject this proposal.

Shalom!

Hopefully the human society is progressing in that direction. Recent ban on homosexuality in India has been nothing but walking backward in history and gross violation of human rights of gays and lesbians. Interestingly enough and not surprisingly at all, the new ruling has received big support from the  religious groups.

I want to thank member Roy for sharing the article by Mr. Musa Ali. Over the years I tried to say similar things showing that, Islam stands for justice and fairness for ALL. I feel it is an Islamic call to punish murderers and as long we have a fair judicial process, no one should oppose to the concept.

The following verse is a personal favorite of mine.

Shalom!
