People are blaming mostly BNP and Jamat
However in democracy once a party is elected, they start representing ALL people of the country (People who voted them and who voted against them). So it is best to blame the criminals first and ask why our administration is not going after criminals?
When an old mother is attacked or a Hindu man is attacked, it is an assault to the whole population. The same thug will use another stupid excuse to attack one of us tomorrow. Those who are happy to see Hindus getting attacked or jamat supporter (Not criminals but innocent supporter) getting attacked should think about it.
We cannot go on like this very long.
I have NO objection of your choice about political parties, it is your opinion. Still everyone is entitled to be protected no matter which party they support.
While BNP-Jamat will shed crocodile's tears for the affected Hindus, AL should come to realization of the importance and urgency of punishing the actual criminals irrespective of party affiliation.

I think the "Unity council" made some progress this time. They should sit with all parties and make this DEMAND. The right to a secure life is a fundamental right of any citizen and it does not matter which religion they belong to.
As I said many times, NO one can justify this with Islam and clearly Islam is AGAINST such violence against innocent civilians.
If this is a result of some old dispute, still our administration took an oath to protect us from thugs, looters and vandals. During election time, there were around 5,00,000 law enforcement personnel to secure us. It is a good time to analyze what went wrong and how we can prevent this for future.

I don't think any one is blaming Islam. People are blaming mostly BNP and Jamat. It makes sense because these two parties were determined to sabotage election. One way to achieve this goal was to terrorize the voters. Hindus are the easy targets. It has been reported that these two parties---particularly Jamat---spent huge money to manufacture terrorism.
I have used the word "mostly" to make it clear that local AL politics was also a culprit in some cases.
No one will believe that AL high command decided to resort to terrorizing Hindus as this would have been suicidal for AL. But it is believable that BNP and Jamat high commands had terrorizing voters on their agenda. If we do not understand or do not want to understand this, we will be simply fishing in the troubled waters.
Now it is the responsibility of AL high command to convince people that it is not a communalist party. It has to be tough on the real criminals hiding within the party.
In a talk show Matia Chowdhury has compared AL and BNP by saying that BNP is accused of commission and AL is accused of omission. In other words when it comes to persecuting Hindus, BNP commits the crime and AL refrains from taking action. Both are painful for the Hindus. Therefore AL needs to be more vigilant and more active in bringing to justice all criminals including those belonging to AL.
We definitely need to put constant pressure on AL without losing sight of the simple truth that AL is lot superior to BNP-Jamat alliance when it comes to respecting secularism and communal harmony. While BNP-Jamat will shed crocodile's tears for the affected Hindus, AL should come to realization of the importance and urgency of punishing the actual criminals irrespective of party affiliation.
