Dear All,
The Bangladesh Minority Protection Society of Calgary would like to invite you to join the "Human Chain Protest" against Minority Torture in Bangladesh on Sunday, March 16th, 2014 at 11:00 am in City Hall in Calgary.
We express our deep concerns over torture, destruction and burning of temple, houses, business property, rape of Minority Women and forceful conversion Hindus in Bangladesh since 2001. This is a crime against humanity and clear violation of the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). With the commence of 1971's war criminal's verdicts in February 2013, these horrendous activities are making the lives of the religious minorities more insecure than ever before. Minorities of Bangladesh have also had their human rights violated in 1971, 1975, 1990, 1991, 1996, 2001, and 2008. Because of the atrocities by the religious fanatics, the Minorities have fled the nation-state for want of security in large numbers and the population came down to 8.5% from 22%. No human being should have to go through these kinds of brutalities that the minorities in Bangladesh are going through right now.
Let us demand for compensation of financial loss, restoration of damaged properties/temples and rehabilitation of raped girl-women, scarred and abused people. Our collective voice of protest against this 'Ethnic Cleansing' and atrocities will make a difference in the lives of hopeless minorities of Bangladesh.
Sincerely
President
Aporna Das
