Re: [mukto-mona] Re: Misery in the Fraudulent ‘Holy Land’

According toGenesis 15:18andJoshua 1:4, the land God gave to Israel included everything from the Nile River in Egypt to Lebanon (south to north) and everything from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River (west to east). So, what land has God stated belongs to Israel? All of the land modern Israel currently possesses, plus all of the land of thePalestinians (the West Bank and Gaza), plus some of Egypt and Syria, plus all of Jordan, plus some of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Israel currently possesses only a fraction of the land God has promised.

Hindus of Bengal and India brought about their own downfall.

Well, Dr. Das, I believe the world is much better now than it used to be in the ancient time or even fifty years back. Now, worldwide organizations (albeit imperfect) and information exchange keep the level of barbarity in some control. While the Jews of Israel are aggressive in defending themselves, I believe the if the Muslim Palestinians were as nonviolent as the uprooted Hindus of East Bengal, a good degree of peace would have prevailed in Palestine-Israel. I am not clear on how many percent of the so-called 'promised land' now belongs to Israel. Please educate me, if you know. But I believe, a conscientious world could not allow all Muslims that settled in that land to be evicted, nor could Israel go that far.

I have followed Israeli leaders, as much as I could, from Begin to Netanyahu.  They have intention of conquering all the land that belonged to them according to the Old Testament.  At present they don't have the ability.  However, even the ancient time, the Hebraic people conquered the "Promised Land" by sword from the Phoenicians.  Even their OT had its root in  Ugarit.

Interesting pieces of information, Dr. Das! But the Israelis do not seem to have the intent of conquering much more land than what they got right now. Obviously, they wish to live peacefully in that land with a modern lifestyle. While they are certainly very aggressive in defending themselves, looks like if the Palestinians accepted the status quo and lived in the neighborhood with no hostility, the conflict would have died down gradually. Of course, the Arabs and much of the Muslim population in the world are not ready to live in a civilized world with respect for all, women, non-believers, and believers of other religions.

Every community has a separate God since the beginning of history. Even that destitute impostor Patriarch named Abraham did not have the same God as his descendants did.  The word 'God' has its root in Persian 'Godde' which means leader.  Even in Bengali, 'Paler Goda' indicates leader of the gang. A WW II limerick was "Gott strafe England/God save the King//God this and God that/And God the other thing//Good God, said God/I have cut my works down//". Obviously, God was unable to meet the demands of opponents.

The present crisis is a continuation of millennia old problems in the Middle East.  It was fueled by the discovery of subterranean hydrocarbon.  The powerful Ashkenazic Jews decided to go back to the promised land.  God of Islam forgot that promise and drove the descendants of Abraham out.  The European Ashkenazic community, by no means the children of Abraham, are back with vengeance to conquer the land which once belonged to them albeit for a short period.

"Why should people hate other people for God?"

You got it wrong Sir. God is rather a fake excuse here. There has been a power play going on there and I do not want to start another firestorm with my politically incorrect statement. Maybe Mr. Roy or Prof. Das have better words for this age old fight. Thank you.
