[mukto-mona] Re: {PFC-Friends} Re: [Dahuk]: Invitation of Secular Conferene in Patna--confusion about reality of secularism

The problem with Mr. Alamgir is that he is not a secular person at all when it comes to the minorities of Bangladesh. If you read some of his past comments, you would not even reply to this smelly person. His mentality is very clear. Muslims do not need to be secular in their own turfs but he wants other infidel countries to be more secular and gentle to the Muslim causes. He loves secular US but would hate a secular Bangladesh. Do you recognize the syndrome?

Please go ahead with your secular conference and make things better for your community than listening these communal individuals. Thank you.

Let me repeat the substance of what I said before about India, based on 4 months teaching in Gujarat. I write from Chicago, so some recollections may be inexact in detail.I know NOTHING about this particular conference so I am making general remarks
1 If there is proof of Modi's guilt, let it be produced. Otherwise, we should try to treat people as innocent unless proven otherwise; if this is too problematic, then we should certainly avoid acting as though we have proof of guilt.
2 Focusing on Modi is pointless and misleading. Those who could read Gujarati told me that the vernacular press used language about Muslims that cannot be repeated. This is the real tide that has to be addressed. It is what allows a court in Nagpur to claim that ,for tax purposes, 'Hinduism is not a religion'.One should read Nandita Huskar
3 The ordinary Indians, meaning the one or two hundred we met and talked to, are nice ordinary people. But their reaction to the word 'Pakistani' is horror and to 'Bangladeshi' contempt. This is the real attitude that needs to be probed and addressed. It is at the root of Bangladesh's inability to get land and water rights clarified and inability to export to India.
4 The Muslims are marginalised and depressed. No doubt whatsoever. But the problem is greatly aggravated by their own ignorance of their capabilities and lack of coordination
5 After the riots in Gujarat, two very important observations came to mind. First, that riots occurred ONLY in Gujarat, and not in any other part of the sub-continent that is India: secondly, that the most vigorous criticisms of the riots came from within India.
If we refuse that which is positive on principle, who is to blame?

This conference in the name of "  SECULARISM" and that too in Hidustan which is tainted with over thousand communal riots causing hundreds of the thousands people killed many more injured n displaced n women raped and the fetus removed brutally by the majority hindus all over. The victims of such brutal acts are mainly the "MUSLIMS". The BJP/BHP/RSS/SHIB SENA/BAAJ RANG etc etc communal parties are threatening the Muslims day and night to pack up and leave else turn Hindu. They have ultimate dream to make hidustan only for Hindus.

I wonder waht the so-called conference will deal with since the present PM is personally is killer of Muslims when being CM of Gujrat and indicted by authorities for the killing. But surprising that the  magnanimity of Hidustan's great Democracy( democrazy) the murderer is in seat of power in Hindustan.

Muslims should ignore this so-called face saving conference to show the the world that they are SECU.....??????

Dear all, Assalamu Alaikum. There is confusion about secularism among many Muslims in India. In Indian context, by secularism many of them mean continuance of democracy ,human rights and religious rights of minorities. This is misconception. Secularism means seperation of state and government and education from religion which leads to immorality in individual and state behavior.
In my view the Muslims in India should not support secularism, instead work for full democracy and fundamental rights there which will safeguard their rights. Harping on secularism is unnecessary..
