Pi is also a number. In the number system it falls into the category called irrational number. I think Ramanujan computed the value of pi with a great accuracy.

We need a lot of metaphysical concepts to explain reality, e.g., we need imaginary numbers to describe quantum mechanics of electron. That does not make imaginary number more real than unicorn.

This should be the right approach (adopted by Prof. Das and Mr. Deeldar) to study mind as this is the scientific approach. Old fashioned and unscientific approach will take us nowhere except that it will simply help us in engaging fascinating but unproductive intellectual exercises.
