Re: [mukto-mona] God does not need religion, religion needs God

Iswar is a corrupt word from Osiris, and Bhagwan used to be anyone with a male procreative organ. Gods of Homer had shapes, but ultimately abstract gods became shapeless and devotees made them manifestation of a universal sovereign almighty God. Jewish and Christian gods are Sun God in disguise. Hindu trinity, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, are Jupiter, Sun, and Saturn.

Let me explain two concepts of God in Hinduism – Formless (Nirakar) and Formed (Shakar) God. Nirakar God is the metaphysical God, as I have referred to in my previous mail. For example, 'Iswar' or 'Bhagoban' is the formless God.

Even though Iswar or Bhagoban does not have a particular form, but, it can take any form, as per will of the devotee. A devotee is free to think of any form of the God, as he/she wishes. That's where the concept of Gods and Goddesses come from. These forms of God are for people who cannot comprehend formless God.

So, I think, I have been consistent in my thoughts.
