Let me explain two concepts of God in Hinduism – Formless (Nirakar) and Formed (Shakar) God. Nirakar God is the metaphysical God, as I have referred to in my previous mail. For example, 'Iswar' or 'Bhagoban' is the formless God.
Even though Iswar or Bhagoban does not have a particular form, but, it can take any form, as per will of the devotee. A devotee is free to think of any form of the God, as he/she wishes. That's where the concept of Gods and Goddesses come from. These forms of God are for people who cannot comprehend formless God.
So, I think, I have been consistent in my thoughts.
