[mukto-mona] To the Editor-Please publish

Hon. PM, Do Something:
I don't know who should I speak to. That's why I am writing to Hon. Prime Minister. Every day the miscreants are burning people by throwing petrol bombs or Molotov cocktails in the name pressing home their democratic demands. Is it at all a fashion of pressing home someone's demand? No! This is clear-cut murdering people without any accountability, as if they have got license to kill! Whoever is doing this that is not our concern. Our concern is: we the innocent people are dying in excruciating pain. These gruesome killings are the results of conflict between political parties wherein we are not counterparts to any nasty political business. Then why should we take the brunt of the power feuds between belligerent political parties? We saw innumerable killings and maiming by arson attacks before the 5th January election of 2014, but not a single perpetrator (killer) had been caught and brought to justice. Even at that time the Hon. Prime Minister
vowed to take stern action against such arson attacks and killings, but nothing happened. It had appeared to us that any political carnage, however gruesome it might be and whoever did it, would be ignored because the political parties are covertly friends to each other. Maybe we were not wrong. Look at the recent examples. The arson and bomb attacks are done on the poor and innocent people, not on the politicians' cars or homes or establishments. Even innocent babies and women have not been spared. Then are we the baits of political gains for the fighting political parties who hanker after nothing but grabbing power? Every day suffering people are imploring the government and the law enforces to do something against the perpetrators of gruesome attacks, but no one is listening at all. Only we hear from the politicians and law enforces that mass people will do something collectively one day. But how is it possible? Is it not a farce? If the
politicians are in secret merger, then what can the mass people do? And why are the law enforcers there – is it to serve the politicians' interests? So my appeal to the Hon. Prime Minister, please set example by giving capital punishment to those who are killing innocent people without any concession. What these miscreants are doing it is more than coldblooded murder. And their reward should be capital punishment or 'shoot at sight'. Hon. Prime Minister, can you do it please and help us live on peacefully? Because you vowed recently to curb this crime at any cost. Please keep a Prime Minister's promise.
