How the current war is different from the civil war? The current fight is not political, it's a power struggle. So, this is a civil war.
Yes, Pakistan is helping Khaleda Zia in bringing a full-fledged civil war there; prosperous Bangladesh is not in the interest of Pakistan.
Those, so called, intellectuals are simply opportunists and party-hacks. They did not get much attention from Awami League, so they are with Khaleda Zia now. They talk about mid-term election, but - do not talk about if that election will be acceptable to BNP without care-taker government.
Awami League won't go back to care-taker government option, because they have to amend constitution again, and that's not happening without being forced out. I don't think that's happening in the near future.
As you know, Hashina offered any position,, obviously not PM, to BNP in the interim government before the last election. In all successful negotiations, both parties have to meet in the middle ground, and that was the right place to meet. So, why didn't they do so? None of those intellectuals have been asking BNP this question, because they are all BNP party-hacks.

Well, Ms. Zia can start one but that does not mean she will win the war. The simple reason is that there will be no place to hide like a neighboring Afghanista/Wasiristan. Eventually it would be only a suicidal one like the one we had in 1971. Would they dare? I do not think so.
