"There is inferiority complex also. We forget that Bangladesh in the past defeated teams like India, Pakistan and England."-SC

I am not sure what are you talking about? Who is inferior and who is superior here? If you follow the cricket, you would know which teams have been ruling the cricket for last twenty years. Sadly, Bangladesh is not one of them. Against the major teams, it has lost more than 90% of the games. Please check the stat if you care. Only very rarely it won against, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Srilanka, Australia and Newzealand as I can recall. The team is capable of creating upsets but its performance is not very consistent. If you do not believe me, watch Bangladesh Pakistan upcoming games in next month. My bet is, it will loose most of the games. Just don't be surprised why. The quality is not there yet.

There is a difference between Pak PM and BD PM. Pak PM never accused  umpires awarding the game to the Indians while our PM did that... to score political points against the BNP/Jamat. Nawaz knows the cricket while Hasina showed her ignorance like a typical Bangladeshi. I call it a symptom of inferiority as being as a diehard Bengalee.

Great hilarious video from Pakistan:

I am for a vigorous self critic for us than blaming others for last sixty years problems. We used to be basket case and now, we try to portray us as world champions without the real homework. The problem is not only with the cricket, it is everywhere.

The question does not arise if Bangladesh could have won if the umpires had different judgment. The point is that there was an allegation from a broad section of those who watched the game. Even an Indian player has called the judgment controversial.

Anti-Indian sentiment? I am sure there is some. Pro-Indian sentiment is also there. There is inferiority complex also. We forget that Bangladesh in the past defeated teams like India, Pakistan and England. The outcome could have been any thing. The last night's defeat of India to Australia shocked me. It was not a marginal defeat. I expected a lot better from India.

Cricket can be a matter of pride and glory. It can be a tool for politics and diplomacy as well. I remember several years ago the heads of the government of India and Pakistan sat on the gallery to watch a match between India and Pakistan. I will not ridicule BD PM. I will rather appreciate her spirits.

Yes, money exchange to fix a match can occur, but, you guys are forgetting that - Indian win was beyond the reasonable doubt. So, it does not matter if money exchange was there or not.
Indian won by 130 runs. No one, in his/her right mind, should think that such win can be accomplished by bribing the an Umpire. Also, isn't it an absurd argument that Pakistani Umpire favored India, not Bangladesh? Think about it. The very thought of Pakistani Umpire will favor Indian team, which is their staunch rival/enemy, is improbable to me. If that was true, just think about what will happen to that Umpire, when he goes back to Pakistan after the game. Don't be naïve to think that some Indian guy may have bribed the Pakistani Umpire.
I am not an expert in cricket; even I understand – in order to favor 130 runs for India, umpires had to make hundreds of misjudgments against Bangladesh. Have you thought about this fact at all?
The fact is - Bangladesh team is a novice compared to the veteran Indian team. A win for Bangladesh against India would be a miracle in the first place. I did not expect it, though I was hoping for the miracle. So, I am contented with the success of the Bangladeshi team. They have done wonders for me. They are now considered as one of the few cricket teams in the world to reckon with. This is not a small achievement, in my view. I hope people will stop bringing silly arguments to tarnish that achievement.
Apart from cricket, anti-Indian sentiment is at play here also. There is a large segment of the population in Bangladesh, who will need such baseless allegations to console themselves. If you don't think so - just go to the on-line postings after the match and find out.
Do you think - you would hear such allegations in a similar situation, if it was Pakistan, instead of India? I doubt.

Betting is gambling. To win the gamble, you may not depend on your luck. You may bribe some one who can break the rules to win you the bet. There is a wager. If you win the bet, you will get huge amount of money that is much more than what you have spent to bribe. For example, some Indian guy might have bribed the Pakistani umpire to win a bet. I am in favor of a fair investigation. I don't think it will ever happen. But there are records of punishment by ICC.

I am surprised that you could not understand the difference between betting on the game and bribery to fix the game. I know very well sports-betting is a multi-billion dollar industry, but, we are talking about bribing here, not betting, Mr. Chakraborty.

I will request Dr. Roy to google a little bit on the topic 'corruption in cricket matches'. Betting is a $50 billion industry. In the past  many players have been convicted and punished. There is huge materials in the Internet. Cricket fans know about all this.

Blaming others for one's misfortune is the sign of immaturity. Bangladesh has shown world-class immaturity in this case.
Only one party will win in a game, and the norm is - losing team must show sportsmanship by accepting the loss gracefully. I don't think Bangladesh has done that.
I do not know why we stooped so low to allege India of bribing the umpire. I don't think - this allegation will tarnish the image of India or their world-class cricket team a bit, but it will surely show our lack of sportsmanship. Do you think this game could have generated such enthusiasm throughout the world, if it was that easy to fix the game. Am I wrong?

This is what I said today to an American friend after he talked to me about the BD PM's complaint on BD losing the World Cup: "I have seen this news; and my sense is that the Bangladesh PM is doing a cheap stunt for her people to like her. This is not the worst that she has done. She is building a mosque in every sub-district to please people who want to go backward in time, which unfortunately is the kind that she needs votes from if and when there is any kind of electioneering."

It has been proved that the umpires did injustice to Bangladesh team.
Bangladesh defeated india, Pakistan, and England. Bangladesh had been playing well pretty consistently. Probably money talked. I hope there would be an investigation and Bangladesh would be given an opportunity to play again against India.

Please stop being such deaf, dumb and blind. Qualitatively, Bangladesh has been a weak team and barely could win one or two games by pure luck against the top teams. Never seen much consistency with Bangladesh batting or bowling and suddenly Indians needed to arrange a Bangladeshi defeat with Indian money? I am sorry Sir, I do not believe in such outlandish theory. We should be patriotic but not to this extent that PM has shown. Pretty idiotic statement as far as I can judge. Bangladesh team has long way to go. It needs to play far better than finding excuses with the others.
