রাজশাহীর চাপাই নবাবগঞ্জের সেই 'কানসাট' আর ঢাকার নিকটবর্তী 'শনির আখড়ার' কথা মনে আছে ? বিএনপি সরকারের আমলে ২০০৬ এর এপ্রিল মাসে বিদ্যুতের দাবিতে কানসাটে নিরীহ কৃষকদের পাখির মত গুলি করে মারার কথা আমরা এখনো ভুলিনি। একদিনে ১৪ জন কৃষক কে গুলি করে মেরেছিল বিএনপি সরকার যা বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে আর ঘটেনি ! আমরা আজও ভুলিনি ২০০৬ সালের নভেম্বরে ঢাকার অদূরে শনির আখড়ায় পানি ও বিদ্যুতের জন্য 'জন বিস্ফোরণের' কথা। গত বিএনপি সরকারের আমলে 'লোড শেডিং' ছিল নিত্যনৈমিত্তিক ব্যাপার। ধর্মপ্রাণ মুসল্লীদের পানি-বিদ্যুতের অভাবে ইফতার-তারাবি-সেহরীর সেই ভোগান্তির কথা আমরা আজও ভুলিনি ! কেমন করে ভুলি বিদ্যুতের অভাবে পরীক্ষার্থীদের 'মোমবাতির আলোতে' পড়াশোনার সেই দূর্বিসহ দিনগুলোর কথা ! কিন্তু বর্তমান সরকার ক্ষমতায় আসার পর সেই কঠিন দিনগুলো ধীরে ধীরে কেটে যাচ্ছে। বিএনপি আমলের মত 'প্রায়ই বিদ্যুত থাকেনার' বদলে এখন 'বিদ্যুত সরবরাহ প্রায়ই থাকে' ! অথচ মিডিয়ায় সরকারের এই অভাবনীয় সভলতার কথা প্রচার হয়না !!
Do you remember 'Kansat' tragedy of Rajsahi and peoples outburst of 'Shanir Akhra' of Dhaka suburb ? We didn't forget those barbaric keeling of innocent peasants of Kansat by the BNP police in April 2006 demanding electric supply . The ruling BNP killed fourteen peasants in one day which didn't happen in the history of Bangladesh before . Till today we didn't forget another incident of outburst of people for supply of water and electricity in the month of November, 2006 which happened at Shanir Akhra ! During last tenure of BNP-Jamaat, scarcity of water and electricity was a daily affair . How can we forget the sufferings of devotees for supply of water and electricity in the month of Holy Ramadan during 2001-2006 ? How can we forget the sufferings of the examiners who have to prepare themselves under the 'Candle light' ? But under the prudent rule of present Govt., those black days of sufferings have disappeared . Now a days , water and electricity supply are there almost every day . But we don't see those extraordinary achievements of the present govt. in media properly !
