Only in Kuwait anew

GhannamGood morning my honorable readers. In this article I would like to continue my Only in Kuwait series and focus more on issues and topics as well as decisions that were issued recently by various government institutions.
So many laws and decisions are issued every day. They seem tough in the beginning, but as time goes by, they begin to diminish and are gradually neglected.
Only in Kuwait an expatriate can be deported on the spot and from the street for violating the traffic law without considering his or her circumstances. I have never seen such law imposed in civilized countries, where an expatriate is deported for just making a wrong turn for example. Blame many citizens for breaching the law as well.
Only in Kuwait that old cars are chased by police, impounded and taken to the confiscation centers as if it is the end. Suddenly, you are allowed to take it back if you pay the specified fine. Why did you confiscate it in the first place? Many of these cars are unfit to be operating in the streets as they smoke like trains.
Only in Kuwait that you enter the social affairs ministry at eight in the morning and find no body, as the majority of the employees sit in their hideout gossiping, smelling incense, drinking tea and coffee. Meanwhile, female employees show each other what some had bought from London stores, bragging about their purchases while customers are frustrated outside.
Only in Kuwait that a decision concerning something like the visit visa for expatriates can be in the hands of a single person in Farwaniya. This forces that person to become exhausted in dealing with thousands of expatriates who seek to bring their relatives for a visit or tourism. No one else can be trusted in that department?
Only in Kuwait that fish are sold in auction at dawn every day in Mubarkiya, and specifically in the parking lot where nasty smell prevails in that area, leaving shoppers almost sick, not forgetting the flies and other insects as well as the stray cats that roam around that place.
Only in Kuwait that prices of fish are skyrocketing depending on the stock exchange for that day, leaving many people who love to eat a certain type of fish disappointed.
Only in Kuwait that some key ministries do not tell the truth about the real situation in the country, under the pretext of not intimidating the public, while you can find the truth from other credible sites.
Only in Kuwait the expatriates outnumber the nationals.
Only in Kuwait that checkpoints can be seen in the middle of the highway.
Only in Kuwait bachelors are unable to go to certain shopping malls under the pretext 'For families only.'
Only in Kuwait the housemaid has no right to keep her or his passport.
Only in Kuwait the car can be painted so many times a day just to escape police chase.
Only in Kuwait many policemen cannot control a fugitive, as they (policemen) have no power or enough muscles to do that.
Only in Kuwait many women yell at the policemen at a checkpoint, and while having the right to apprehend them in that case, he ends up going to the police station and files a law suit. I wish the traffic police department is run by American police. Then, we will see if those insane or maniac drivers can do what they do in the streets during weddings or bullet-like driving.
Until the next article Insha Allah
