If Russians retaliate, NATO would make some noises but that would be the end of all huff and puff. Turks will have to face this angry bear with its own as Erdogan has already been getting the messages from its NATO brothers. France and Germans have no love for Turks or Erdogan. Would US risk everything for Turkish double game? I doubt? US action would be very limited within the UN asking for more sanctions. Russians know that very well.
A Turkish apology is most likely in the making. Else, I see some Turkish jets falling from the sky.
