Re: [mukto-mona] The New World Order

My comments are on Dr. Jiten Roy's article. According to the author the present administration of the USA cannot solve the current world problem (the primary one is fighting, according to Roy, radical Islam, and the secondary one being fighting pollution of the environment). But he has confidence  that it can be solved by charismatic leader Donald Trump. Has Trump been able to establish himself as a charismatic leader or is he still a controversial figure?

Is Obama not fighting against the Islamic militants? He ordered the killing of Osama bin Laden. Were he and Mollah Omar not created when the Republicans were in power? Is there not a theory that invasion of Iraq and fall of Saddam created ground for strengthening Islamic militant groups in Middle East?

As a matter of fact both the parties and all the regimes in the entire world want the Islamic militancy to be contained. The reason is simple: it is a threat to every ruler. But the problem is that each regime has its own priorities.

The statement that all battles are and have been religious and social in nature does not reflect the historical truth. What about the two world wars? One can cite many examples from early history to the contemporary history.

What about Biden's belief? I cannot say he is wrong. Environment is a major issue no doubt. Militancy thrives on poverty, illiteracy, misrule, corruption, and injustice. Unfavorable climatic conditions create famines and hence poverty. The factors like illiteracy, misrule, and corruption are self explanatory.

What about injustice? I was listening to Shahriyar Kabir's speech in a video clip. He referred to an American author in his speech. Today Pakistan criticizes trial of the collaborators of the Pakistani army. Nawaz Sharif was not in power in 1971. It was the army which committed the crimes. But the army in Pakistan is so powerful that nobody dares criticize the army role. The generals were not brought to justice. That was so wrong. Later on the army killed the elected prime minister. They became instrumental in creating Taliban. It is the army which favors an uneasy relationship with India.

Yes, that is correct. However, if Paris attack had not happened few weeks back, France would have gone along with the US position. With third party being involved, it is very hard for the US to lie and keep patronizing Turkish position. US got no love for Russia.... no matter whether Russians are right or wrong.

US hypocrisy about IS had been exposed initially by Russia and then by France.  America forgot even Abraham Lincoln's famous saying: You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

US's position is being finally exposed by France joining the fight. It will have very little choice but to do right thing.
