[mukto-mona] Michelle Pfeiffer says abuse of women in Hollywood is 'systemic'

Indeed, abuse of women is systemic in the entertainment industry. It is obviously about power. Many of the powerless young women not only tolerate it, they even offer it to powerful men for getting established in the industry. The realistic way to address this problem in the entertainment industry as well as in the broader workplace would be to have powerful women everywhere. And that would require parents and communities to give equal educational and exploring opportunities to their boy and girl children; so that women would not only seek employment, they would be the bosses that employ others as well.
