Aparthib's arguments are valid, except that he has not
analyzed the point that Obama thought that he was
being graded "on a different curve."
Now, "different curve" does not necessarily mean "a
black student being graded differently from the rest
of the class." Obama might not have thought of it that
way. However, most people would probably interpret
this as Obama thinking that he was being discriminated
against (graded on a different curve) because he was
black. I would not take most people's interpretations
to be accurate, and would need more from Obama to
conclude that he thought that he was a victim of
racial discrimination in the hands of Professor
Boesche.
Whatever this "different curve" may mean, however, I
do trust the professor's insistence that Obama was
graded fairly.
I would vote for Clinton or Obama in the general
election, because I consider the Democratic Party to
be better than the Republican Party for the average
hardworking Americans. I totally dislike McCains
war-mongering approach. I think Hillary Clinton was
wrong when she, along with her congressional
colleagues, gave a blank check to George Bush to go to
war in Iraq.
However, two things about Obama bothers me a lot. His
priest's hateful sermons, and his wife's feeling proud
of being an American "for the first time." I think
these problems are too close to Obama. Sorry, I do not
have time to elaborate on this now.
