[mukto-mona] Re: Hey Mor Durvaga Desh!

Iam absolutely agreed with Nikhilda's topics as follows:-

Many so called humanists have not gone kolkata to make a
documentary on Noble Prize winners Biswakabi Rabindranath Tagore or Amartya Sen. It is not only foreigners that spoils the good name of the city, there are unscrupulous citizen too who take part in it for their personal benefit. By making City of Joy or kolkata as a brothel, they made a lot of money. Those people were always trying to show negative attitude on Kolkata but never highlighted on positive side of Kolkata or WestBengal.

Film makers of `City of Joy' found this place as the home land for the lepers and thugs and earned a great fortune and fame for their film. In early 70's, the name `O Calcutta' was given to a nude Broadway show to attract people by the reputation of the exotic name.

Then why these humanists focus on Kolkata only? I guess this documentary is a product of spy-work and bribery by the filmmakers. They take advantage of the simple and friendly nature of the Bengali people and fulfill their motive safely. To do it in other countries, it will certainly be risky and life threatening.

This city had been the birth place of two Nobel Laureates, Rabinndra Nath Tegore and Amartya Sen among many other world renowned talents in Science, Arts and Literature. But how many so called humanists have gone there to make a documentary on them! It is not only foreigners that spoils the good name of the city, there are unscrupulous citizen too who take part in it for their personal benefit.

Keeping it consistent with their policy of rejecting foreign aids for the tsunami victims, the government should also not allow any donation from the filmmakers for the proposed `school for the prostitutes' children'.
