[ALOCHONA] Re: 'BNP arranged Musharraf-Chetia meet in Dhaka'

Awami League spokesperson and General Secretary Syed Ashraf has only mentioned about Anup Chetia meeting with President Gen. Parvez Musharrof of Pakistan. However, it is not just Anup Chetia but BNP government has to answer about ULFA leader Sanjib Deb Burman's whereabouts as well.

ULFA leader Sanjib Deb Burman who was also arrested almost same time as Anup Chetia. Under direct influence by Tarek Zia, Sanjib Burman was released to local custody of Advocate Sigma Huda wife of Khaleda Zia's Communication Minister Barrister Nazmul Huda sometime in 2004.

Pakistan intelligence agency ISI was able to manage his escape immediately after getting the custody of Sanjib Burman by Sigma Huda (Barrister Nazmul Huda's wife) to either Burma or Pakistan.

Unfortunately, Adv. Sigma Huda who was the custodian and lawyer of Sanjib Burman never had to face charges of not being able to produce Sanjib in court because of cohesion of high-powered political leadership interested in safeguarding ULFA leaders taken refuse in Bangladesh.

I will ask Awami League spokesperson Syed Ashraf to disclose ULFA leaders Sanjib Barman's escape from government custody. Court papers are available to prove that Adv. Sigma Huda was the custodian of ULFA leader Sanjib Burman when he disappeared with a state managed escape drama.

BNP Secretary Delwar Hossain's busy lips need to be shut down with not just the proof of Anup Chatias meeting with Pakistani President Musharrof but to link them with ULFA leader Sanjib Barman's state managed disappearance as well.

BNP-Jamaat evil axis continued to play the legacy of Pakistani ISI proxy role set by Gen. Ziaur Rahman. It is well known fact that Gen. Ziaur Rahman worked for the Pakistan military intelligence during his service in Pakistan military and received Hilal-i-Jurat gallantry award.

Dhaka, Jan 08 (bdnews24.com)–Former Pakistan president General Pervez Musharraf had a meeting with India's separatist ULFA leader Anup Chetia in Dhaka during the BNP-led alliance government's rule.

This was disclosed by Awami League general secretary and LGRD minister Syed Ashraful Islam at a roundtable on 'prime minister Sheikh Hasina's forthcoming India visit: Bangladesh-India bilateral relation' in the city on Friday.

"Pervez Mosharraf had a one and a half hours meeting with detained UFLA leader Anup Chetia at his hotel room during a visit when BNP and [Jamaat-e-Islami] were in power," he told the roundtable held at the National Press Club.

The AL leader termed Hasina's forthcoming visit to India as important, saying it will be a political trip and that she will not have any set agenda.

"The visit will be a complete success. This will see revival of Bangladesh-India relations that are built on trust and confidence," he hoped.

Blaming BNP and its allies for worsening of relations with India, Ashraf said the 10-truckload of weapons and 30 million bullets seized in Bangladesh were actually meant for use against India.

"How can one expect good relation with India after all these had happened?" he asked.
