[ALOCHONA] Re: [Diagnose] Saudi Arabia Cautioned Bangladesh

Dear Alochok Haque

Here in Kuwait our PM was also called 'sister'. I thought it was patronising, though now after reading your comments I think it is fair - a King cannot call her Madam.

But it must surely be patronising that the Emir sent his private jet to pick her up from Dhaka. It must surely be humiliating for our PM to bring an entourage of 70 plus people. And it must surely be insulting that the community was not allowed to give her a reception but instead was herded in buses to the palace to meet her. It was also insulting for our PM to ask for more visas for more Bangladeshis only to be told no.

But then my expectations of my country have always been too high.

Now.

If you were a progressive Saudi or Kuwaiti would you want more Bangladeshis in your country - or less? The correct answer is less. Would you think you had too many Bangladeshis or too few? The correct answer is too many. Would you think progress lay in decreasing or increasing your dependence on Bangladeshis? The correct answer is decreasing.

There are powerful, coordinated lobbies throughout the Gulf that want fewer South Asians - and in particular, fewer Bangladeshis.

We are victims of our own penchant for petty crime and our inability to defend our national honour at all levels. Add to this a few hideous murders committed by Deshis against friends and members of the ruling families...

Here in the Middle East it is easy for a few to ruin the reputation of many.

Add to this the absurd fact that only Bangladeshis create chaos in their communities by engaging in party politics! Here in Kuwait the only nation, out of a hundred nations, that publicises expatriate politics is... guess who... could it be... yes!

Shecha Shebak League held a service here, Juob Dal held a meeting there, Bongobondhu Parishad demands something here...

Photos of ugly illiterates who made a little money so they can afford to buy rubbish suits abound in our papers - together with banners of our two royal families.

It is disgusting. And anyone who thinks its alright should first explain why they don't partake of such noble politics themselves.

The Arabs have been working quietly, as a matter of regional policy, to reduce the number of Bangladeshis in their countries. By increasing restrictions, stopping renewals and raising requirements they have been cutting the number of Bangladeshis in their countries slowy but surely.

It will continue.

Maybe if we takeover all the factories of the world that make door handles and raise the price - it could be cheaper to hire a Bangladeshi door opener than buy a door handle. In this way we could develop our foreign labour markets?

Sincerely

Ezajur Rahman
Kuwait

But in reality it is not possible. It is economics. Saudis are not ready to take up those jobs and there are not enough qualified saudis to replace these compitative professionals or skill hands. That is the plain truth. King Abdallah is no Caeser to leave behind everything for ...

It is my strong believe that SA is not going to take any action that will harm her national interests favouring an individual, despite (may be) having been sympathatic to GA. Similarly with all inclination towards Hasina India will not hesitate to abandon her when she can not protect their interests any more (it was proven once). At-least I wouldn't believe anything more or less beyond this scope.

Some Bangladeshi news media propagate against Saudi Royals in an intention to hostile them against Bangladesh . Leading Muslim power Saudi Arab always maintain brotherly relation with Bangladesh . Some Politicians are becoming anti-Muslim for their political purpose and family interests. They sabotage to create distance between the two purposefully as they are assigned to act too.

They implement their all efforts to eliminate Zia policy from Bangladesh .

Organization of Islamic Conference-OIC leader Saudi Royal family can’t avoid such enemity during present world order.Saudi Royal family already announced that one Bangladeshi is taken to jail as he was suspected Al-Qaida terrorist. If any foreigner found guilty in Saudi Arabia , according to their law, all the citizens of that foreign country are restricted to stay in the kingdom. They will have to get out or forcefully thrown out of the kingdom.

The premier Sheikh Hasina disclosed her acknowledgement of receiving that letter when She accused her political opponents BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami in the parliament for lobbying Saudi Government to oust all Bangladeshis from the Royal Kingdom . It is enough for the intellectuals to believe that Leader of the Parliament know about the letter.
