I know this is provocative but what the hell. If we can live with all the crap that's going on in Desh then this should not offend too much.
Thank God it's all over. From Language Day to Victory Day to Pahela Baishakh to Tagores birthday - what a busy few months. Months of pandering to our egos and months of backslapping patriotism and months of nationalistic bravado. I celebrated each, participated in many events, enjoyed many events, contributed and donated to many events. But thank God it's all over.
And now we can get back to trying to understand who we are today - not who we were yesterday or who we want to be tomorrow.
Thank God it's all over. The celebration of past glories and the justifications for believing we are great - over till this next time next year.
